Just watched it on Youtube and couldn't really hear it that well. Anyone know the lyrics to it?

    Unless my ears deceive me, I believe the line might be:

    I've been meaning to transcribe the lyrics myself but just haven't found the time, so I thank you kindly for saving me the effort. :)

    As a devoted, long-suffering Cubs fan, I must say, this song brings a tear to my eye. "Someday we'll go all the way..." *sniffle* [Preferably in my lifetime...:cool:]

    Thanks, I think you're right! I updated my earlier post. The only line I wasn't sure about was in the 3rd verse:

    Keeping traditions, and wishes and doom??

    I think the rest of it is correct.

    I'm pretty sure the "and I'm crying and covered in fear" line is actually "and I'm crying and covered in beer." I say this because it's something you'd be doing in Wrigley when the Cubs win the Series and the crowd is celebrating. That, and the recording sure makes it sound like he says "beer." :)

    thanks for transcribing. the only thing I can add is that I think it's "last winning run" instead of "last minute run".

    Yeah I also saw it a few days back and it's cool! Nice song Ed!, I know, It must be heart-breaking for the cubbies that they haven't won in ages, but always keep hoping lol...Even if they do fuck up, stick to your team, I mean it's like one of your loved ones fucking up, but you never lose hope in them or stop supporting them because you love them right? Just my opinion, I know the feeling of heart-break when it comes to sports, it's only normal lol.

    I agree, Cubs suck. They will choak again. I hope that I can be in that ball park when they get eliminated so I can laugh at 40,000 losers. I have said it before on this board, I'm happy that I'm going to the Milwaukee show so that I don't have to hear that fucking song.
