Didn't hurt the poster. Never understood why people think it would.SHZA said:Saw this on ebay. Wish it hadn't been in a tube the whole time but very nice nonetheless!

That poster is awesome. It may not every time but I bought one once that had multiple ripples from being rolled up that long. Not always a problem but definitely a risk.tempo_n_groove said:

Other than having to use coffee cups to hold it open? You're right though. Flat files are pointless. Doesn't hurt to store in tubes for decadestempo_n_groove said:

Poster is perfect by looking at the pics. Whats the problem? Dude doesn't have poster weights but has a mint 98.SHZA said:

The poster is fine.

Just the fact that it needs weights (coffee cups or whatever) to stay open is an issue aside from any other damage. If it laid flat on it's own you could say perfect and be righttempo_n_groove said:

I know absolutely nothing about hi value posters or what is considered perfect, but I’ve never had a poster I bought from any artist or 10club that laid flat when I took it out of the tube. I thought they all had to flattened for some time. No?SHZA said:

I've never had creasing on any of my posters that came in a tube, which is all of them (over 50). None of them lay flat until I take them out of the frames they've been in for months...0 -
I’ve had posters come out of the tube and look just fine. And I’ve had posters come out of the tube with minor creases and roll marks. That being said… Storing them flat as soon as possible is the best route to go to avoid any issues.1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh 20

Yes, but if it's a new print and only been in the tube while in transit, it's going to be much easier to flatten than if it's been curled up in a tube for 27 years.elvistheking44 said:

Love that poster. Bought one years ago (since I was dumb and didn't buy at the concert). I can;t remember what I paid but it had pinholes (still does I guess!). BUt well worth it and framed out and since I'm not selling it perfectly fine. Looks great on the wall. If I didn't have one, I'd buy this onehippiemom = goodness0

Have you never flattened a poster before? They do flatten after being in a tube for so long. No issues with any poster i've had to do this to.SHZA said:

Sometimes posters get roll marks from being in a tube too long or being rolled too tightly. While the poster will mostly flatten out, the roll marks will be subtle but still present. They're tough to get out sometimes.

No roll marks from the pics. Doesn't appear to be "gorilla rolled".on2legs said:Sometimes posters get roll marks from being in a tube too long or being rolled too tightly. While the poster will mostly flatten out, the roll marks will be subtle but still present. They're tough to get out sometimes.
I will say it again in defense of the op. Poster looks fine.
Note on these 98's. The paper was so thin on them that they are easily rolled.0 -
No roll marks y’all it was in a bigger tube so it wasn’t rolled overly tight0
