    Garden. I want to say Smile or Footsteps 'cause those are me like almost no other, but Garden was the first song that got me. And it still does, that 10 or so years later.

    There are many songs i relate too, but in my life at present, the most important things and people in my life have either died, had cancer and almost died, or either i've lost them because of bad decisions i made in my twenties. I am still here walking the path every day. And, its like I'm not really in charge of the remaining people in my life or even myself. Something more powerful than me, driving the ship. So, I will go with Love Boat Captian as my choice.

    I just read this. I wanted to reply even though it's none of my business. I am sorry you were beat with a belt. I choose time out for my child, but, sometimes he can be very naughty and I just want to spank his little bottom. I try to refrain from that. He would rather be spanked than take time out. Somtimes he even says when i tell him to go to time out "mommy can i have a spanking instead?" so i say "no"

    I hear my sons friends saying they get spanked with towels and hairbrushes and i wonder what in the world goes through peoples minds when they spank their kids with belts, etc.
    Granted, kids do need punishment. They have to be made to mind. But, parents.........give affection, or don't expect your children to mind and be good. I hate seeing parents who are unaffectionate but jump at the chance to beat their kids.
    They need to grow up.

    I know a lot of people have different interpritations about Tremor Christ but I think its about someone moving on from a relationship or something that hurt him.
    This has always been my favourite song probably coz it was the first one I listened to and really thought about the meaning.
    I always have trouble moving on from things and prefer to stick in the past. I feel I really relate to this song.
