    Dodgers won 111 games 3 years ago and won exactly one playoff game. It’s baseball, anything can happen.

    They are a lock to make playoffs, but it’s not like basketball where the best team always wins.

    they pretty much cruised to the championship and have added by way of acquisition or health

    A lot of things can go wrong and they are still better than last year.

    They were down 0-2 in the opening round of the playoffs and needed to win 3 straight to advance.

    d**gers media deal pays them $3.5B while the yankees deal is for $85M? if true, MLB is the true villian here for allowing this kind of disparity.

    This year's Hall of Fame class: Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia, and Billy Wagner.

    Ichiro was 1 vote shy of a unanimous selection. Who was the lone dissenter and what reasoning was used to not vote for him?

    I didn’t realize wagner was dominant until the end. injuries were mounting up and he walked away. well deserved induction.

    I think this statistic is accurate (someone can fact check): Billy Wagner holds the highest strikeout percentage of batters faced in the history of Major League Baseball.

    ALSO: Billy Wagner ended his career 5 strikeouts short of having a 2:1 ratio of strikeouts to hits allowed.

    His baseball reference page is wild.  242 hits as a rookie!  10 years straight over 200 hits and BA over .300 to start his MLB career!  Would probably have broken Pete Rose's record if he came over here when he was 20 instead of 26.  There's always 1 crusty old asshole baseball writer who won't make it unanimous.
