Another one of my favorites. Eddie is such an amazing writer. I relate to this song probably more than any other.

    i love ed's face while he is singing it on the SVT dvd....damn, i always love his face...hahaha......but i particularly love his smile and dimples whilst singing this tune in particular. beautiful. :) great, great song too....:D

    I absolutely love this song. It is my favorite off Yield. I think it just speaks of where he was at the time, lyric wise. It's rock and soft at the same time. Just a great song!

    I agree, it's definately the best song off of Yield. This past fall was my last marching band season because I will graduate from high school in May, and when I walked off the field, we have an old saying in band that after your last performance, you need to "lay your heart on the field," and that's what I did. And I remember crying so much and just have all the old memories of band running through my head, and me just being all alone. When I got on the bus to go home I listened to "In Hiding" and what a relief!! I was so able to relate!!! Wow, this song is so amazing.

    i can't hear this song anymore without seeing eddie's face on SVT. hehe

    and the line "i swallow the truth to keep from lying"
    it's really good ....
    and the "biting" he sings with his teeth really ...

    another thing i just like about this song on SVT, is what eddie say about the riff he listen "all the time" ... and like people just brought him songs ... and he has to do lyrics ...

    One of my favourites songs of PJ, surely in the top 10...The music, so powerful and with details at the same time...
    the voice, touching the f*ckin sky in the chorus...your skin will shake...
    and the lyrics, incredible...we all need to hide sometime...

    the first song to really grab me off yield (oh and DTE of course) but i feel it is up there with immortality as one of their most perfect songs, in all ways, lyrics, music, etc...

    just wish they'd play it more!

    Yes, he has said "I swallowed my fist just to keep from fighting" before. :) I have so many bootlegs of this song now, I can't remember which one it's on.

    have they played it recently live? love that song. somehow seems to have disappeared behind the other favs off of yield, evolution, wishlist, faithful, given to fly. shit they should just play a tour of no code and yield.

    Not to shit in the delicious apple pie that is In Hiding....but there is an older song from some shitty 1-hit-wonder band that songs exactly like in hididng. almost tooooo alike

    I've always been partial to this song too. I really feel it!     One of my most fave songs !! I don't know if its about Eddie escaping the PRESS or just feelin like kickin his own ass ! all I kmow is I feel "release" with this song and it puts a grin on my face ! (try singin it out loud when ya drunk!)Love it !
