  • basically there's a limit on how much a team can allot for international free agents.

I guess the confusion might be LA just signed two huge stars from Japan  for over a billion dollars, so how would they have any money left?
He won't get crazy money.  He will get a fair price first. Like they did w Ohtani.

Pretty good article detailing all the CBA stuff and how it applies specifically to Sasaki:

    https://www.mlb.com/news/roki-sasaki-faq

Unless he just wants to get the deal done ASAP, he should ask his team to wait and post him for the 2025 signing cycle. He would be able to get more money and be able to negotiate with all teams, should he want to do so.

    Lol
  • Royals traded Singer.  He was pretty good.  Not sure why theyd lose an arm and get India?

Royals traded Singer.  He was pretty good.  Not sure why theyd lose an arm and get India?
Because he can't get out hitters from one side of yhe plate.
(I'm a Reds fan and sorry to see India go)

Brady's only stuck to his sinker and slider.  Tried a change up and it just gets way too much of the plate.  My feeling is the organization was tried of him not trying to develop and stick with a third pitch.
Plus they feel they have the depth to cover his rotation spot if they don't sign someone in FA (maybe resign Michael Lorenzen) to replace him (Marsh, Bubic, AAA prospect Noah Cameron).

Yeah I was stoked, overall, and then I read through some of the stats on his pitching to lefties.
Hoping the fact that he is a ground ball pitcher can help at GABP, but still....lefties demolish him.

He's good 3rd or 4th guy in a rotation.  Can pile up innings too.  I'm happy we got India.  Our leadoff hitters slashed .228/.270/.334.  Also if Wiemer can be a 4th outfielder or platoon guy against lefties, that would be a win too.

    India is a dude.
I think he can be above ave hitter, on bass guy. And fielder.
A dude, overall, though.  Kind of guy every team needs.

For sure, but the players union will never allow it.

Apparently Manfred wants the MLB to be more like the Savanah Bananas...

What asshole owners are "buzzing" about this crap?

The Bananas are cool for what they are, but that has no place in MLB.
