    I don't think there's much reason to think otherwise. He gets to slink away quietly and the official reason he's no longer a congressman is because he resigned for the AG job. But...come on.

    The question I have is does he remain US Representative-Elect? Can he take that seat in January? Could this series of events result in him starting "fresh" as a freshman representative (i.e., the info would remain dead)?

    don't know the rules, but that would seem like a crazy loophole.

    You mean did he only resign from the current congress, not the next?  I can’t imagine that the rules would accommodate that action. Interesting question though.

    I'd be curious to see whether anyone has any other positive quality they can state about. Is he particularly smart? Is there anything that makes him an excellent candidate for any public job? Or is his entire persona of "pissing off the libs" his only redeeming quality? (Same question for Bobert and MTG.)

    I think he's fairly intelligent but he is a career politician. Very little real life experience and no way that he has any business being AG.
