Not sure. This question can be applied to several cities. If you check out the 2025 Tour Rumor thread, a lot "Pearl Jam hasn't played in <insert city> in <insert year number> many years" posts. But I'm not sure we know the answers as to why this is the case. Would have to ask the band.I'm spinning, oh-oh-oh I'm spinning0

In 2005/06 people were wondering why they weren’t playing Seattle!Glorified G said:Does anyone know why PJ hasn't played the Gorge since '06?It’s out of the way, bit of a hassle to get to for accommodations, lodging.0 -
To add to the inconvenience: unpredictable weather.
Majority of the fanbase has also likely aged out of camping.0 -
I guess, it was an epic trip for me back in the day. Tent in backpack, flew in, found a ride on this site, too beautiful to experience only once but i guess that's what makes it even more beautiful. Thanks all!I'm going to Lukin's0

The Dave Matthews Band was founded in 1991, so the fans are about the same age as Pearl Jam fans.mookeywrench said:To add to the inconvenience: unpredictable weather.

DMB just recently played 3 shows at the Gorge last year: 08/30/2024, 08/31/2024, and 09/01/2024
If those fans can do it, then surely the Pearl Jam fans can pull it off.
My neighbors are in their 50s and love to go camping.I'm spinning, oh-oh-oh I'm spinning0 -

You know what sucks about camping at the Gorge? Waiting in 2-3hrs of traffic to get into the damn place.MikeDigs said:

Once you're in, it's not so bad.0 -

2-3 hours isn't too too bad. I remember Burning Man wait time was about 6-7 hours. That was really difficult.njhaley1 said:

It's close enough to Seattle, I consider it in the general area. There's also small towns within an hour drive on either side, so the last times I went to the gorge we hotel'd it (Which is way better in the hot summer).Last time I was at the Gorge was for Tom Petty in 2014. I would love a reason to go back. It's a mission to get there form here, but well worth it.I figured PJ would play it once and a while due to being in the Seattle market, but I guess not. Of course this sparks arguments about whether or not it's in the Seattle Market, but Seattle is the closest major population centre to it

Yeah, I mean, I'm in Ontario Canada and would make that trip again in a heartbeat!

I'm gonna go with a completely sarcastic conspiracy theory:
Alpine Valley, Gorge, etc. are too far a drive to sell all that sweet merch for multiple days in advance of a show.0
