I don't think AVP is even 1/4 of the problem... the fish rots from the head down, and Kraft f'ed up huge by bringing in a guy w/ zero head coaching experience. He was puffing out his chest as recently as a couple weeks ago over the Mayo hiring, and the guy looks like a deer in the headlights.

It doesn't help that so many defensive players are injured, but still in all... Mayo is in way over his head and I'll be surprised if he hasn't already lost the team with the way he's calling some of them out to the media.

went to bed close to start of 4th quarter. seemed by then the steelers were chugging on all cyliders even though it was still close at 22-15.

getting to see wilson bring his skill set to the mix was .... relieving once he threw the first couple long balls. hope he can impart some wisdom to fields in that regard. what is that? touch, technique, feel? combo of the three?

stiil master fucking moves grabbing both qb's for this season.

Public shaming pretty much signals when things have gone off of the rails.  A good operation doesn't throw their own under the bus.

Wilson has long been known as a great deep ball thrower. Don't think he can impart that to Fields. It's a gift (practiced for sure) that some have and many do not. He is one of the best at it of his generation.

Friggin' Van Pelt and that enormous (and apparently empty) head calling run after run on first down. Let the kid throw the ball, especially in some non passing downs so the D can't tee off.
my bad….thought you were talking about scott van pelt, even tho it made no sense why SVP would be calling for runs, unless he was calling a game, which he doesn’t do.

however, SVP also has an enormous and toaster shaped head and he sucks.

Can't believe Bowles was still throwing the ball with all his starters in. That Godwin injury looked bad. They did almost get me a miracle comeback win in fantasy with Baker. Lost by one.

The way the season has gone, we just need warm bodies to fill the receiver room.

never understood teams trading with the Pats during Brady's era and don't understand trading with KC now.  why help the best team?  For a lousy draft pick.  makes no sense to me.

I think it’s a money thing. Titans can suck with or without Hopkins. They’re not going anywhere, anytime soon. I’m pretty sure the Chiefs aren’t getting vintage Hopkins, but I could be wrong.

    Can he get open?

    Agree.  Teams should know better.

If you saw the rest of the receiver room, those questions become moot.

In the NFL, you get two games for PED’s. In MLB, you get blackballed from the HOF.

    Brutal missed call.
Rams probably still win either way, but how do you miss that?

Face mask penalties should be reviewable.  No subjectivity to a face mask.

Agree here. Most of them are blatantly obvious and are just missed because the ref is in a bad position. the ref on that play last night was behind Darnold and clearly couldn't see it.

Yeah, no illusions the Vikes were going to pull it off, but 1st and 10 at the 20 instead of backed up to the goal opens up the field a lot, especially with JJ. They blew the game either way before that, but still had a shot to drive down the field. Could have been a hell of a finish for people watching, although I know that's few for TNF.

I selfishly wanted Darnold to drive them down.  I started him in fantasy this week!

Not just backed up to the goal, Rams were awarded a safety, increased lead to 10 points essentially ending game, plus Vikes had to free kick ball back to Rams. (Attempted the onside kick of course but failed).
That missed call took Vikes from long shot chances to absolute zero chances.

there was a ref at the end zone looking DIRECTLY at him, and it wasn't obstructed. Brutal missed call.

Haha! Because denying reality means it didn't happen. What a clown. Just admit you thought for sure you were fucked. Doesn't change the outcome of the game unless there's some potential rule around fines he could get for it that I'm not aware of.
