Heading to Middle Earth & OZ in a couple weeks for my 47th, 48th, 49th, and 50th shows. It caps off a spectacular year that already includes Vegas, Chicago, & Boston. New Zealand's itinerary is already pretty packed, but have 5 days in Gold Coast that are pretty open (except for Wed
) Will be in Surfers Paradise. Any suggestions or must hit spots? On a side note, I've got 2 extra Gold Circle tix for Night 1 in Auckland, but have no idea how to transfer. Can't sell on F2F cause no bank account in NZ. Could meet before show maybe? Coming from the Auckland Hilton & plan on taking the train to show.

My recommendation as a foreigner, but one who's been to Australia several times.... get out of the touristy Surfers and go east to the beautiful National Parks... SP is beach, ok a day of that is fine. Take a drive east there's so much gorgeous country.Isoworld13 said:Heading to Middle Earth & OZ in a couple weeks for my 47th, 48th, 49th, and 50th shows. Thanks for the great ideas! We're playing it loose due to jet lag in Auckland. I looked at where you're going for your day trips and you must be renting a car? I decided to pass on driving. Your Auckland itinerary looks super fun!Isoworld13 said:

I washed the scare walk farm dirt out from under my sparkly combat boots today (like micheyb told me to do to clear customs nicely). She's already departed her country! Shit's getting real!I was swimming in the Great Barrier Reef

50th is actually Saturday Night Melbourne....but this whole leg is going to be amazing!! First show was 30 years ago Boston Garden 1994...30 Years...50 shows...30 Venues...25 Cities...5 Countries...3 Continents...Got 8 in this last year alone! Got some great ones in my years. Saw the 'No Code' show in Moline...Witnessed the 'Ten' show in Philly...Was a part of the EPIC ALL NIGHTER in 2013 Wrigley!!! Got Neil Young in Toronto & got real fucked up in Amsterdam...My ONE AND ONLY REGRET TO THIS DAY is missing "THE EXPERIMENT" at Great Woods (which is literally 5 minutes from my house)....NOT MY FAULT THOUGH....was OUT OF TOWN for a family function for that one (DID see the other 2 at GW that year). Could not be more THRILLED than to celebrate 50 shows in a BUCKET LIST PARADISE!!!Spunkie said:

just be careful in surfers that schoolies starts from 16th November. Sounds like you’ll be away by then but there are likely to be setting things up and might even still be some festivities in the lead up.If you can drive south over the border to Byron Bay and have a beer at the Beach Hotel in the beer garden. Byron’s not what it used to be, but worth a day out for sure.0
