    What a game!

Omg I've been through every emotion in the last hour.
    You're a Tribe fan?
probably more of an anti-yankee…like 95% of the country.
I'm both.  Been a Cleveland fan since the mid 80s.  Yankees are 30 of 30 for me
Well the Joe Charboneau, Brook Jacoby, Rick Manning years were tough. So good for you to become a fan then.  I didn't have a choice.

Joe charbonneau was before my conscious time, but apparently when I was like 4, I poked my head in the dugout when he was in Buffalo for an exhibition game and asked him "what's going on here".

The team i fell in love with (lol) were the brook Jacoby, pat tabler,  Cory Snyder, joe Carter, Chris bando, Scott bailes , Tom candiotti, Steve farr Indians.

Carter was infamously on the cover of SI before the 87 season i believe.   We were predicted to win the East and lost 101 instead. It was really depressing.

Today marks the first time in MLB history there were 4 separate 2-out game-tying or go-ahead HR in the 8th inning or later in the same game, regular season or postseason.

Im surprised Cleveland has put up this much of a fight.  They had a bunch of hits/chances in game 2 and couldnt capitalize.  Took game 3 with some late fireworks.  Still not convinced they have enough runs in them to take 3 more games, but good show so far.

The problem really isn't the run production.  It's the starters not eating enough quality innings,  taxing the pen which is the strength.  I don't think tonight is going to be any better.  Hope I'm wrong.

When we lost Bieber and then Tristin,  I thought we'd be cooked by late May.  The whole season was a surprise.

  • Seems like the Mets are the team of destiny. On that 2022 Phillies kind of run.
The Phillies won the World Series in 2022? Or you mean destined not to win?

    Yup.
Overall though, they put up a bigger fight than I expected to the Yankees.  With a few more timely hits, or with Giancarlo out of the lineup, Cleveland could have taken 4 of those games.

Future looks decent.  Need some starting pitching to develop (obviously not signing or trading for any names).  Maybe Mckenzie can get back to form?

If Clase was as good as Mariano as he was advertised. You guys would be going to the WS.

    I don't think that matters.

He didn't play games 1 and 2, game 3 they won anyway, game 4 he got the loss, but also that rocchio error was big, and i think he was the 7th pitcher, and in game 5 he didn't allow a run.

So maybe he could have extended game 4 another inning for Cleveland not to score and either Soto, judge, or Stanton to hit an hr against someone else.
