I know, I just don't think a person can really put a negative slant on living a long time! :)

    yeah... i don't see a problem with this ;)

another real good line from LBC is "lost 9 friends we'll never know __ years ago today."

It would be 8 years if performed now I believe...unless Ed is precise about the month that it happened.
    7/2/06 - Denver, CO
    6/12/08 - Tampa, FL
    8/23/09 - Chicago, IL
9/28/09 - Salt Lake City, UT (11 years too long!!!)
    9/03/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 1
    9/04/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 2

I don't know if you guys realize this ... but this song is awesome. So many lines like that ...

In regards to the original poster ... yes, this line does get you thinking. Everybody wants a long life ... but what if it just means more loved ones dying, more mistakes in your personal life, more war and economic trouble and so on and so forth?

Overall, I think LBC is a pretty uplifting song ... but this particular line is cynical as fuck. And l love it :)
everybody wants the most they can possibly get
for the least they could possibly do
