Don't get me wrong I LOVE this song, its one of the coolest riffs ive ever heard,...but have u ever really listened to the words? Its a really sad story.
Sounds to me like its a guys whos wife, girlfriend or whoever has died and hes is a wreck.....

    Knowing Ed, though (or actually I don't, but...) the story's probably about some guy who killed his wife or girlfriend and is now haunted by that.

    It didn't take me more than one listen, I noticed right away the first time i heard the song. I just didnt post til now. I was listening to LD this weekend and was reminded.

    i've always heard it as that, such a powerful song, very sad indeed.
    You can also relate it to someone you love moving away..
    Situations get fucked up and turned around sooner or later...
