Limited 12” Pressing for RSD’s Black Friday Celebration
News October 2 2024

In collaboration with Record Store Day’s Black Friday Celebration, Pearl Jam is releasing a live audio pressing as well as locally-recorded bootlegs at participating indie record stores.

Limited to a quantity of 4,000, this 12” includes very special, live performances of Dark Matter’s “Waiting for Stevie” and “Wreckage”. Side A is pressed with RSD’s ‘Song of the Year’, recorded live from the band’s hometown show on May 30, 2024. The flip side features a live version of “Wreckage”, captured at a May 16, 2024 show in Las Vegas.

In addition to the limited 12”, each bootleg from Leg 1 of Pearl Jam’s 2024 Dark Matter World Tour will be available for purchase in a set of two CDs, recorded live in Vancouver, Portland, Sacramento, Las Vegas X2, Los Angeles X2, Napa, and Seattle X2. These live CDs will be produced solely for record stores and will be available for fans to pre-order, as well as purchase inside their neighborhood record store on November 22nd.

I mentioned this in the other thread, but I will be out of town and with no access to a local shop. With this being a 4,000 exclusive release, I don't think I'll find it once I get home, so if anyone is feeling generous and in a helpful mood, I'd love if someone could grab me a spare. I'll pay shipping and whatever else I can do to make it work!

    Only 4000 12" that's going to be a challenge.
What's the story with the RSD bootleg cd's? How will they be different than what they already sell?

Is that an assumption or do you have an actual source?

Why does Nugs ship silver pressed cd’s for Metallica, but not PJ?

Bootleg sets from each of Pearl Jam's critically acclaimed shows from the first leg of the Dark Matter tour. Each CD is mixed by longtime Pearl Jam FOH engineer, Brett Eliason and mastered in Seattle by Rachel Field at Resonant Mastering and pressed professionally (not burns).

Thank you, and I apologize about the assumption comment. I had no idea this was common knowledge a couple months ago. Very exciting!

This looks cool, but I also can't help but think that this would have made a great fan club single.

    Gremmie/Whale would have been epic!

  • Does anyone know if they are the same mix/ sound as bootlegs already being sold  or will they be remastered to sound even better?

Not sure if these will even make it to NZ and if so, how scarce. Do we think they'll sell here? I wonder what time.
