i mean I can't blame them if their agreement is to make the art and only get their cut selling APs.Loujoe said:New thing artists charging flipper prices. Good for them. We can probably all agree that artists getting market value for their product is a good thing. That $ should absolutely go to them as opposed to someone flipping the item on eBay.
But to LouJoe's point, it's bad for the casual collector.0 -
So glad I switched from show posters to $2 show stickers.I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

Yeah, it can be tough to justify spending $200 on a poster. I'd wager quite a few people have holes in their collection because of this.Merkin Baller said:We can probably all agree that artists getting market value for their product is a good thing. preach! I try to buy posters for the shows I attend. Had no luck at the show and the $200+ for the AP was just too much. Best souvenir is always the bootleg anyway and at least we still have those...
In the meantime, fingers crossed for this to show up in the shop.

My dream outcome for this would be for the artists to put their own drops up for auction... They have 200 AP's? 200 highest bids get them and its all transparent on their website so everyone can see who is bidding and what the 200 highest bids are is and decide if they want to bid high enough to stay above #201... Keep the auction open for 24-48 hours so everyone has a fighting chance. I feel like this would take the wind out of the flippers' sails also. Who loses with this?Merkin Baller said:We can probably all agree that artists getting market value for their product is a good thing. Same. I don’t blame them one bit but I’m out on AP’s going forward at this price point. Honestly $125 is pushing it for me by the time you add shipping.PSUS2H said:

As with dynamic ticket pricing, “who loses” is people who can’t afford (or just don’t want to pay) the auction/market price but who want the opportunity, however slim, to buy a limited good at a below-market price. The catch is that if you’re going to make that sort of opportunity available (and to be clear, in both cases I think it’s a good thing to do), it’s going to attract a ton of demand and people will get frustrated about how hard it is to buy.motleygunner said:

D- I would be interested in your perspective on the increased cost for AP's and the idea that "artists should get the profit". Do you think that it slows the flipper trade or just causes the flipper prices to increase? Btw...I like the original coloring much more too.demetrios said:0 -
Any idea when it will drop on the 10C site?0

They never say. Historically when Santos knows we are chasing a particular poster, he can get creative with how it's dropped. Be alert & good luck.0

Received my AP. Munk's sig is the best.0
