    “No, I don’t. I think … that will be it. I don’t see that at all,” Trump said on “Full Measure” with Sharyl Attkisson when asked whether he saw himself running again in four years if he’s unsuccessful in November.  

    The former president would be 82 on Election Day in 2028.

    Not dementia. 
    It's even worse than dementia. In his mind, "Anwar"-- which is how ANWR is pronounced as a word-- and Bagram are both "Muslim names," and since he had never heard of either of these places until he was president, he has no entrenched familiarity with them and mixes them up. Dementia is a tragedy that's no one's fault. Ignorance is a character flaw. (Don't get me wrong; he's probably demented as well as ignorant.)

    Anyway, this is why the presidency is not an entry-level job. People need to dispense with the fantasy that an "outsider" who will "run the government like a business" is the dream president. No, a president should have some actual experience in government (which will include some high-ranking officers in the military). If a person without experience in government wants to run for office, they should run for Congress or for state office. But ego (and our political culture's overemphasis on the presidency) makes powerful people want to go straight for the top job.
