    You just brought back a memory.  In the early 90s, the Lightning played in what can be described as a barn.  It was at the old Expo Center on I-4 next to the jail, on the fairgrounds.  We would literally be on the glass for $20.  It was great, really.  I mean the team sucked, but you could see Dino Ciccarelli get into a fight for no apparent reason every night.

    here’s my thoughts on philly fans…they are very passionate and, for the most part, knowledgeable. maybe a little delusional, too. they MAY have a few more knuckleheads in the bunch than average but I chalk that up to philly + passion + alcohol.

    I hate the fan bases that only turn up when their teams are any good.

    I am so tempted to start a “shitty fan bases” thread. I can think of a few…

    No that's good thinking.  I am a firm believer in stereotypes, whether it's where you live, who you root for, your color, your religion; trying to make broad generalizations about millions of people you don't know, have never met, is always the way to go.  Good luck with that.

    Holy shit. I follow CBJ a bit because I grew up in Columbus and was excited when they took out Tampa some years ago. I didn’t know a lot about Johnny except that he was a good player on a pretty bad team. Horrible news.
