    Chicago Pizza

Ive never tried it personally, but everyone seems to lose their mind over Pequods.

    I like Lou Malnati's or Giordano's.

I always get Giordano's when in Chicago!

Anyone have suggestions for in Wriggleyville before the show.  I won’t be there early and assume the closest places will already be packed so anything within 15 minute walk or so I’m looking for ideas.  Thanks in advance.

Anyone know if Hop Butcher has a fairly large taproom, or will seating be limited before the show?

Thursday afternoon won't be a problem at all ... taproom not huge but you'll be fine.  Saturday before the show maybe a different story ... they are often full on weekends.

Thanks.  Going solo for the Saturday show, so maybe I’ll try to get lucky with a bar seat.

You might not get a perfect seat but you'll get into Hop Butcher without much trouble ... I would also recommend the Dovetail/Begyle combo next door to each other and 10-15 min walk from HB.  Further down Lincoln is Bitter Pops which has solid rotating list of local taps (and is a great spot for local beer to go as well) plus a great smashburger lunch special.

That smash burger lunch special is legit!

Mentioned to waiter that we're here for the PJ shows and he says "oh yea, the guitarist was here with his family last night".
We had the pot pie pizza and the Italian combo grinder. I will never look at pizza the same after this. Both were amazing!

Portillo’s is great. Mr. Beef on Orleans is also great. Fun spot for people who like the show ‘The Bear’ as that was the inspiration. For my money the best deep dish in the city is the original Peqouds in Morton Grove neighborhood.

I will say, this past weekend—-before heading down to Indy we went to Bavettes Bar & Boeuf for a nice steak dinner and was maybe the best meal I’ve ever had. Atmosphere and cocktails all 10/10 as well. Would be tough to get a reservation now, but if willing to stay up late could probably get one of their later ones.

As a local, I was coming on here to talk up Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder, great and unique local place, glad you liked it.
Also, for crime fans, the "St. Valentine's Day Massacre" happened across the street.

His Bavette's recommendation is spot on, it is 10/10 for steak, service, ambience.  Will be very tough to get in, but on Friday, or even Saturday get there right when they open at 3 and you should be able to get a seat at the bar.  Well worth it.
