Foo Fighters GA Line Question

I have GA tickets for Foo Fighters this Friday in Portland. I have had GA for Pearl Jam many times and have gotten on the rail a few times. I was curious if anyone has had experience with Foo Fighters GA tickets? I assume it would be easier to get on the rail than Pearl Jam, but I could be mistaken. Since I was hoping to get on the rail, does anyone know of a time that is safe to accomplish this? I am also hoping to not have to get in line at 9am.
A side note: I had GA for Pearl Jam back in May and got to the show at about 6:30pm, walked right into the GA pit and got second row on Stone's side. So Portland may be easier than most. Just any help on figuring this out is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I had GA for Foo Fighters at Citifield. Doors were 4:30. We got in the GA line at 3:30 and got 2nd row from rail. Definitely much easier than a PJ rail.0

wow, how do you stand for 6.5 hours. We have pit tickets for Seattle and I was trying to work on the timing. Most of the time with PJ pits if you show up at 6:30 you can get a pretty decent spot. Like 6 to 8 people deep centre stage kind of thing. The Foo pit likes wide, but not very deep (like maybe 8 rows of seats deep). We'll probably time it to show up for the opener and hope for the best

I don't mind standing for a long time. It sometimes bothers me the next day, but not while I am actually standing during the show.

Quite often with a GA pit, I'll try to sit on floor as long as possible until people decide it's time to compress and shuffle closer to the stage. With a PJ show it's maybe 3 to 3.5 hours of standing. I'm usually getting a little stuff about halfway through the main set, but not too bad. I can really feel it after. I was just concerned that the Foo Fighters with 2 openers and early doors open, is like 6+ hours, not sure what that would do. Still, there's no better place to be than GA at a show. Shows are always best experience with the people right into it at the front

Since I have never been GA for Foo Fighters, is there a side that anyone recommends? Also noticed Foo Fighters have a long runway. Personal opinion, but with Pearl Jam, it is a lot more fun to be in front of Mike of or Eddie, and that Stone doesn't really interact with the crowd. Just curious about Foo Fighters. Is Pat more fun, or Chris? Obviously Dave is the most energetic, but was wanting to know of some options. Thanks.0

For reference, I was 12th in line for GA at the Friday LA show and 25th in line for the Sunday show. Both days I arrived around 7am. There’s a dedicated crew of FF fans that were at the front of the line and I believe they’re attending most if not all of the west coast shows. In LA, security split the line into two to enter with one line going to Chris’s side and the other going to Pat’s side. The interior corners and front of the stage filled in first. Both days I opted to be 5-7ish people back along either side of the thrust. Dave seemed to use it more on Friday to come down and back. Friday they did two acoustic songs and Sunday three. They also come down it to take their final bows.0
