    This has literally been the policy for 10 club tickets for 20 years. You know this. 
    Yes, but no.  Fan to fan just became a thing in the past few tours. I know that you never used to be able to get rid of 10 club tix before. But with fan to fan, you can. And now they are going to just shut it down 10 days before the show? Kinda bunk. 
    Plenty of people are going to be stuck with tickets wanting to sell and not reading the fine print. More of a warning is def needed. 

    Maybe you will be able to sell on the mlb app at that point but even then I think it’s just a credit

    So this is for all shows on the upcoming US tour? I don’t need to sell my tickets but I think I assumed if I had a last minute emergency and couldn’t attend that I could just throw them up on fan to fan.

    Only Fenway at this point. Having said that the 2 week window before the show has historically been the cut off for listing your reserves F2F before Platinum pricing begins to undercut and/or better Platinum options for face become available. If you haven’t sold 2 weeks prior you like won’t.
    To quote the 10C from Newsletter #8: "Please understand we have a lot of members and it is very hard to please everybody. If you are one of those unhappy people...please call 1-900-IDN-TCAR."

    So does this mean you need to list your tickets 10 days before the show, or do they need to be listed AND sold 10 days before the show? That's a different timeline.

    It says that tickets must be sold and purchased by 10 days before the show. I take it to mean that F2F will be shut down 10 days before the show for sellers and buyers.

    Yeah, this little caveat makes it so you'd  have to list then at least a few days before the 10 day cutoff. May see a flurry on Fenway tickets being listed come Sept 1

    Maybe we will see more but I think the more likely scenario is that people are going to be forced to share their login or eat the tickets since most will likely procrastinate selling and not know about this rule.

    I think it’s lame too but wasn’t this always the policy with 10C tickets before Ticketmaster and fan to fan took over? 
    This is true. I think they would let you "donate" them if you wanted.  

    Tickets were also much cheaper, so maybe an easier pill to swallow. But your point still stands. 


    Yup. If you couldn't go, you had two options:
    1) Receive the tickets in the mail after the show.
    2) Donate them to someone else at random.

    It really was beneficial for local fans.
    Interesting. If they're donated, how is it determined which fans get upgraded (or is it random?) and how are they notified to claim them?

    It's not a scam if you are told ahead of time that this is the policy. It may be a consumer-unfriendly policy, but it's not a scam.

    The issue of infecting other people notwithstanding, a person with COVID might be in no shape to go to the show, or to enjoy the show if they did go.

    By the way, if someone out there does decide to go to a show with an active COVID infection, please wear a mask. I promise you will still have a good time. I wore a mask to all of the May 2022 shows, and it did not limit my enjoyment at all. I sang along at the top of my lungs. And despite reports of people around me getting COVID left and right (not to mention Matt and then Jeff), I stayed uninfected.
