I played Yellow Ledbetter from the Howard Stern show for a few of  my friends tonight who aren't super into Pearl Jam( except one who has attended many PJ shows as my second ticket). They immediately started to bust my balls about "how could they play for Howard Stern and have the moral stances they have about objectifying women.

I attempted (poorly) to explain that Stern has changed and the band has realized that. Well, an hour later after they have left I'm sitting here thinking...

Stern has changed in many respects, but he also made a comment during the interview about watching porn all the time, the overwhelming majority of which objectifies and degrades women.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

Finally watched it thx for the heads up^.
Missed if Matt talked at all. Was very cool to watch. Especially hearing JA Mike and Stone.' Ed' die is always interesting, but nice to hear the other guys talk for a change. Songs sound great!

Just to confirm for those of us that don't have the SiriusXM perineum subscription, the full video broadcast hasn't yet been posted on the SiriusXM app. Correct?
I find the app to be awful to navigate and find stuff.
I gave up my subscription because they screwed up the app so badly.
Yeah the new app setup is noticeably more annoying and difficult

The app on Android is ok, but the https://can.siriusxm.com/player/welcome desktop version is not that good.

I just canceled my Sirius XM subscription. I've had one since the beginning. Been listening to his show since '97. Called in a few times. Was a guest in 2001. And I've threatened to cancel a bunch of times, and they always lower the price. I got it down to $12.13 a month, in perpetuity, for, literally, every channel Sirius has. That's an unbeatable deal.

But Stern is hardly ever on anymore. 3 days a week, and the summers off, is completely ridiculous. And his show has become so insufferable that I stopped listening when was definitely on, unless I got wind of something that might have piqued my interest.

And I listened to PJ radio even less lol.

$12.13 a month/$145.56 isn't a lot of money (to me, at least). But it's not worth it anymore.
May your days be long, til kingdom come.

I still pay for SiriusXM Up here in Canada but only for the stream via app / desktop. Don't have the premium that includes Howard Stern. Just have the basic one. I like it alot. PJ Radio, Lithium & Wave are my favourites.

I kinda wish the desktop app was a little better.

Yeah it's definitely held its value in my eyes. The kids get kidzbop or whatever, PJ radio, getting some kind of radio when close to off the grid, and the biggest value for me is probably getting all the MLB games so instead of paying for that separately it's a huge baked in benefit.

Oddly enough, I probably listen to more Howard now than I have since high school/the 90s. Weird dynamic.

I'm down to $3 or $4 a month for two years. Yeah, I get everything. I probably listen to five channels at the most. Sometimes I'll expand out, but it's rare.

This is the part that bugs me more so, since it's part of a paid upgrade, and esp the $$$ they had to fork out for a contract for him. Long-time fan, but it's hard to actually hear him live anymore.

He’s also 70. Anything he does is a bonus at this point. It is what it is.

Of course it's a bonus at this point.

But it's a value thing - if you're paying more to listen to him, and XM shelled out hundreds of millions, he gets a lot of leeway with cutting down the workload a lot.

I'm sure PJ fans would be upset to pay the same price for an 80-minute set (they'd never do it).

It's great he's still on the air. But still doesn't change the fact that the dude is barely on the air lol
