    nice...I took a few anthropology classes at Ball State. I wish I could remember exactly where he went but I took a 200 level class where the prof had stayed with a primitive tribe for a year or something to study them. It was really interesting. The entire class was like a big presentation of slides (still used slides back then...would have been 1990 or so when I took the class) where he described the day to day life, their use of sweet potatoes and pigs for currency, etc.

    Cool. I loved my freshman year anthro professor. I think that is what inspired me to go all the way with it. I recently found out he died in 2012. He was really cool. Based on your description of the sweet potatoes and pigs for currency I would say it was somewhere in Central or South America - but can’t pinpoint an exact culture.

    could be...for some reason I was thinking like a New Guinea type area but I could be wrong.

    His presentation played out like The Civil War by Ken Burns....really interesting. I would like to see it again. They went through the tribe hierarchy, general day to day life, etc.

    I'm not walking any beams so it's not bad.  The views are great.  U can see the Chrysler, Empire, Vanderbilt, World Trade, Grand Central and Statue of Liberty in this pic.  A few bridges too Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg and wayyy in the back is the Verrazano.
