I took it as "insanely little time to prepare".
    That's definitely what concerns me.
I hate to sound like a pessimist, but the coming election reminds me of one of those ball games where you're home team is in the bottom of the ninth, you team is down 11 to 1, and you're in the middle of the batting order.  I've seen a game like that turn around, but it's a rare thing.
    Hoping for a miracle.

Things were looking bleak even before last Thursday too....but nobody wanted to believe that polling for some reason. Now all of a sudden, everyone is paying attention to each and every poll that comes out. lol

I don't think the polling is a good representation of the electorate, but I do think comparing the same polls (same method) before and after the debate gives a good look how the debate moved people.  It's useful that way.  Do I really think Biden is six points back? No.  I do believe he could have lost 3 points in a week though.

I honestly don't think there's anything to freak out about at all at this point. too many unknowns.

I'm just wondering what everyone else has been watching in regards to Biden before that debate that they didn't think he was way too old and unable to do the job.  It seems evident for some time now.  And if anything was getting done, it wasn't cause of Joe, it was in spite of him.

I hope they prove me wrong but the Democrats seem to find a way to steal defeat from the jaws of victory ...

If that's the case, I may need a straight jacket come November, lol

The Stephanopoulos interview on Friday will be interesting. It won't be live so editing can happen but George will be asking some tough questions.

May as well just do the drugs then.  Or did you mean about Biden?

I'm getting tired of the Biden camp spinning this whole thing.

And his defiance is a concern.

I'm hoping that the volume around replacing him gets so loud that he has no choice but to step aside.

May your days be long, til kingdom come.

I was thinking the same thing. The debate was nothing new.   His age has been an issue for a while. There’s plenty of videos of him acting off and confused for over a year. We were given no new information that night. Anyone who bought the “cheap fakes” excuse 2 weeks ago, should just be buying into the cold excuse now.  I didn’t expect the debate to be as bad as it was, but I did expect there to be a lot of moments and I’m not surprised it was that bad.

Really, whoever runs is just running on “I’m not trump.” Any other election this would be a disaster, but if it could be pulled off ever, this would be the time. It’s less about the candidate and more about beating the other guy than ever before.

He was on his game for the SOTU. That was just five months ago.

Yes. But that was all a pre-written speech he just reads.
He’s usually okay at reading speeches. It’s when he’s left on his own he’s more likely to act confused, doesn’t know what to do, wonders around the stage and shaking hands when nobody is there. Almost none of the gaffes and videos that were “cheap” fakes were of him reading a speech.

So now we are supposed to believe he was wandering off into oblivion instead of congratulating another sky diver that right wing outlets deliberately left off the screen, mace?

There's a difference between truthful about what is happening and continuing to peddle right wing misinformation.

Right. I cannot envision him handling the idiot maga hecklers in the state he was in on the debate stage last week.

I agree that video alone wasn’t a big deal. But that was one of like 4 videos from that weekend that the official response was the videos were altered, edited or faked. I never saw one that looked like any of those.
