They are all hideous and the Ducks are a team that should not exist.eeriepadave said:
Not sure, but I do kinda like it better than the OG purple and green ones though. Although those were pretty solid jerseys I thought back in the day.tempo_n_groove said:

When the Ducks first came out I thought it was a joke. You mean to tell me that the cute little Disney movie w a knuckle puck is NOW an actual NHL team? The hell you say!F Me In The Brain said:

I always thought the green and purple ducks uniforms are terrible. Still feel that way. There is a certain degree of 90s nostalgia that makes me maybe want to see them a few times a year. Similar to those picasso-coyotes jerseys.
The orange uniforms look cool with a weird lighting/shading setting. IMO, in practice, orange uniforms will be crap. The Islanders' hunting uniforms were awful, as were the orange Oilers' jerseys they were trying to go with. Orange helmet makes it even grosser.
I think they should have gone with something like that design they have. But the colors should have been a darker purple (primary) and darker green as the secondary color (or maybe the other way around). With maybe a touch of that orange or gold (whatever looks better) for the sticks.Post edited by MayDay10 on0 -
Like the color scheme but not a fan of the big duck head. it's cartoonish and too much like the movie they were original named after.eeriepadave said:Thank god the Anaheim Ducks changed their logo/uniforms. The first few seasons we would go and the ushers would come and ask us to cheer less loudly.tempo_n_groove said:

We weren't swearing or anything, not calling players names, just cheering and being fans of opposing teams.
Also, I think they were there for 5 years or so and a buddy had a connection where we would get to set on glass behind visitors bench. We always rooted for whatever team was there and it was fun.
They did not allow banging on the glass, anywhere we sat.

Yeah but he did zilch in the stanley cup. He had 2 good games. They played 7. That to me outweighs his previous exploits. McJeezus should not have won.cutz said:

I guess when you break a single playoff record for assist, that was held by some guy named Gretzky, you win the award?
I don't think there would've been too many complaints if Bobrovsky won it? (I don't)
Well, answer this question: Has a player won the Conn Smythe before from a losing team?=LOL
Like I said, it's for the whole playoffs and not just the Finals.
Take a poll. I'll say it’s 90/10 on that.
"BOB" got pulled in the SC Final?

And gave up one goal when it mattered most. The same night Conner had zero points.cutz said:

Sam Reinhart getting a 8 year deal really isn't surprising. It's the Lighting that really shook things up by moving Sergachev to Utah (I'm frankly shocked), but then signing Guentzel to a 7 year deal with an AAV higher than Reinhart. When this started, I thought for sure that was to clear space for Stamkos, but it looks like they are going to let him walk. It's the right thing to do, as Stamkos will command near these numbers, but he has become almost a power play specialist over the last few years, and it's late career.
Stammer is now the #1 UFA out there.0 -

Yes, that did happen, but again, it's for the whole playoffs.
He broke a Wayne Gretzky playoff record and led his team to the SC Finals.0 -
Yes I understand both. Now to be fair, I think he broke Wayne's #4 record for most points, is that right? Or did he set an actual assists record?cutz said:mrussel1 said:

But also, yes it's for the whole playoffs, but let's not pretend the Finals don't matter the most and winning the Cup doesn't matter. It does and it should. For example, what if Conner scored the same points but they were eliminated in Game 7 of the WCF? It's absolutely conceivable but could you imagine giving the trophy to someone not even making the Finals?
To be clear, I love McDavid and I hate the Panthers. I'm just saying that I understand why the Panthers fans would be upset that they got gipped out of that trophy on a G7 home ice SCF victory. I'd be annoyed too.0 -
Stamkos to the Preds for big money. Throw in Marchessault and you have a Preds team that wants to win now, but will likely be in salary cap hell in just a few years, with aging players. I don't know their true cap situation, but this seems to be a big gamble.mrussel1 said:Sam Reinhart getting a 8 year deal really isn't surprising. Yeah, but for the Lightning, it's the right call as much as I hate it. He wanted 8MM or so a year, but then he will be almost 40. He's already become more of a PP specialist and his two way play has suffered. So do you think you can do what the Penguins tried to do and sign Syd and Malkin, but now you have all of that money tied up in older players and can't build your depth? That's what Tampa was facing. Instead they moved Serg (which surprised me) and signed a 29 year old Guentzel. It's the right move long term.tempo_n_groove said:

If your team wins the Stanley Cup and you can't just be happy about it and you have to boo the Conn Smythe winner from the other team, you're all losers.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

McDavid was the heavy odds on fav, by those experts for the Gambling companies, after game 5 or 6 of the SC Finals.
I don't think it would ever happen( winning Conn Smythe when not making the SC Finals).
I read articles where X-players said he should win it regardless if he won the Cup or not, because he was just that dominate and the reason why the Oilers were where they were.
I'm sure the finals does have a little more weight when considering the MVP and I think McDavid did something in the final that NO player has ever done?(4+ points 2 games in a row?)
Yeah, I can see why Panthers fans were upset too.
I had no dog in the fight and I didn't care who won or lost The Cup or the Conn Smythe. I just wanted to see a good Series, which it was.0 -
