vito said:This will be my last comment on this...I had spinal fusion surgery this last December, prior to that I had been living in ridiculous pain for 17 years. Last September PJ played one of their best shows ever at the UC and I was there w/ my son who watched me struggle the whole night! I stood the whole main set and sat until the encore started. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if I could do that at 58 certainly whole sections sitting comparatively is a problem. Lastly, If you were there and think it was the best show and the best crowd then I am sincerely happy for you!😎
The dude has an ego the size of Lake Superior!
How bizarre is the need to show everyone constantly that you are more knowledgeable than anyone else even if you weren’t in attendance?
Vito your opinion is just that, nothing more. Not important at all. Just a single opinion from some overly argumentative, self absorbed, rude PJ fan.
The board would be better off for everyone if you would just state your opinion and move on without trying to prove your opinion is above others and arguing with others who don’t agree. As far as the topic, I’d prefer people standing but not everyone can do it all show. Have some compassion for others, it’s not all about you. I wasn’t there night 1 but night 2 I was standing all show in 226. Most of the arena was standing for the whole show but there were people around me that would sit once in a while. The guy next to me was around 60 and said he had a bad back and was standing for about half the songs. SoCal shows don’t always have great audiences but I thought the energy was awesome night 2!Post edited by sdclarky on0 -

In all of my concert experiences, nothing beats a Philly crowd. LA1 came close to that energy level, but LA2 fell short and it seemed like LA2 had many more casuals, at least where I was mid-floor. At LA2, many people I spoke to hadn't heard the new album at all, and so that explains the statues during Waiting for Stevie.
I'm extra motivated now to make the trip to Philly for those shows. The genuine excitement from the crowd really amps the band up, and I love seeing the band get excited from our energy and they always deliver back an epic performance. I highly recommend checking out a Philly show if you have the chance, as the crowd energy makes for a unique experience. Just wish other crowds in other cities could muster up some more energy and excitement.I'm spinning, oh-oh-oh I'm spinning0 -

And I rarely turned to see what everyone else behind me was doing. Definitely would love to check out a Philly show, though. Their crowds in general, sports, etc tend to lean on the raucous side which is always a plus.0 -
I guess no one wants to talk about the bootleg?
Everyone jumped on the slightly annoying screamer in Portland, but no one cares about the super annoying Evolution screamer on this bootleg?
Generally turned out to be one of the weaker bootlegs (weird setlist flow, the legendary mood drop after Wreckage into Got some), despite the fans sounding great (not as loud as the fans in Vegas or Vancouver however).

I bought the bootleg, but haven't had a chance to listen yet.
I was at the show, and thought it was great. We'll see if that holds after a few listens. But I don't see it diminishing the experience I had.0 -

Upper Hand is tremendous live. Waiting For Stevie has more teeth live and I loved the subtle Outshined bit at the end. The screamer is more funny to me than anything, just picturing that guy blacked outRandall's Island 9/29/96, Continental Arena 9/8/98, MSG 9/10/98, Jones Beach 8/23/00, 8/24/00, 8/25/00, Nassau Coliseum 4/30/03, MSG 7/8/03, 7/9/03, Continental Arena 6/1/06, 6/3/06, MSG 6/24/08, 6/25/08, Spectrum 10/30/09, 10/31/09, MSG 5/20/10, 5/21/10, PJ20 9/3/11, 9/4/11, Charlottesville 10/29/13, Charlotte 10/30/13, Global Citizen 9/26/15, Raleigh 4/20/16 :( Baltimore 3/28/20 :( Austin 9/18/23, 9/19/23, Forum 5/21/24, Baltimore 9/12/24, Fenway 9/17/24, Nashville 5/6/25, 5/8/250
