Native New Yorker here. Seen 'em eight times at MSG, plus twice in Brooklyn, once at Nassau Coliseum, three times at Jones Beach and once in Newark. Also lived in Mass. for ten years during and after college and have seen them there at least a dozen times. This was my 77th show, and it was an all-timer. L.A. does not take a back seat to New York or Boston. It's just a story some of you tell yourselves.

    Amazing, amazing night.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

Not only do they take a back seat to NY but, LA isn't even in same zip code as Chicago, Boston & Philly! There's probably many other cities that kill LA!

Be careful or else we will get told how wrong we are about the crowd we were in tonight by someone who wasn't even there =)

I am glad you enjoyed the show too, it was a great night and a great audience to be a part of

I don't love Just Breathe, but opening the encore is exactly where it belongs and way better to hear than a cover song. I'd be ecstatic if I was there because I'd be expecting a cover. Probably get RITFW tonight so that will be the one cover unless they elect for Baba.

This set will spontaneously combust if they played Fuckin' Up instead.
    They don't play that enough

Wild crowd, multiple people who are there saying best of the tour. Even Ed mentioned it was truly phenomenal. It’s all perspective I guess.
Every show is better than the last... That's my experience

Between LV1/2 and LA1 PJ is getting their groove back. Maybe not as fast as Stella but they are getting there. Let's see more diversity like this. Good to see a little encore shake up

Super set. I've been to 2 baseball games in the LA area and nothing else so I can't personally verify how good the crowds are.

Entertaining thread. One glass of red doesn't usually get me that riled up. Unless it looks like this.

It was great. Great set list as a whole, great encore especially. Unless you don’t like Pearl Jam, then it wasn’t that great. Or if you just have a negative disposition and people don’t like you.

Nice setlist!  Lots of tour 1st timers, not many ‘standards’, only one cover.

I wasn’t there, but from reading posts from people who were, band was on, no vocal issues, crowd was not dead.

I think having issues with this show is way off base.  Proof that you can’t please all the people all the time.

Not sure why so much hostility.  Multiple things can be true at the same time.  Yes based on the feed there were whole sections sitting down until Evenflow.  If I remember correctly the side sections immediately to the sides of the stage were not available for 10c for LA?  So maybe a lot of tix held back for VIP types.  Kyle Gass was one of those sitting for much of the show.

But it did seem like the pit and floor were pretty energized.  The band seemed to be enjoying it and sounded great.  Setlist had some nice variety to it too so try to keep the good vibes going.

Correct. I was there. Building was ROCKING! Phenomenal setlist. Eddie didn’t mention vocal issues once.
