I'd also like to toss out a few ideas for covers. These are songs that (well I think) fit in nicely with Eddie's message, and not just the feelings & emotions therein, but the style of playin' & musical acumen involved as well.

    - Angel From Montgomery and/or
    - You're Flag Decal Won't Get You Into Heaven Anymore - by John Prine

Yeah, I know DMB used to cover "AFM" but they have'nt played it since '00 or '01. Eddie plays "Watchtower" and they still do sometimes too. So what?

I would do anything to hear Eddie do a rendition of it (seek out Prine's amazing album "Souvenirs", it's pretty much a kind old grandfather to the "ITW" stk.)

"Flag Decal" on the other hand, would make an amusing & thought provoking lead-in or tag to either "Masters Of War" or "No More" :)

    - I Will Follow You Into The Dark and/or
    - You Remind Me Of Home - Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie

Anybody who saw w/the VFC tour in '04, knew ahead of time that DCFC were something special. I can say with all honesty, that Ben Gibbard is one of the best modern age (2000 & beyond) songwriters alive today, which is one reason PJ tapped them as openers on that tour.

These two songs are heavy on the love, and about as deep in that context as the human heart can go. Perfectly suited for our man EV :)

    - Life During War - by Billie Joe Armstrong

Another great song to drive home sentiment about this fruitless war, and how all of us can & should make even the smallest difference.

    - Constellations - by Jack Johnson

Yeah, I know he's already done it a couple times w/ Jack. But it'd be pretty sweet to see him do it solo for us :)

    That's all fir now.

Someone mentioned Guaranteed, which we know will be played. I just want to say that before seeing the EV shows, I only thought that was an okay song.

But hearing it live, I fell totally in love with that song. :o

And No Ceiling gave me shivers down my spine...even if Eddie kept messing up the beginning of the song. :D

Angel at Boston I would be nice :D

But realistically...Believe You Me, even a tease would be awesome although I think Ed's voice in his younger days suits the song better. Bushleaguer, Fatal, I'm Open (full version), I Got Id and Of the Girl would all be great to hear. I know they weren't played on the West Coast tour (I'm Open wasn't full version was it?) but I definitely think Ed could pull them off solo.

Ed PLEASE play this for Toronto,Please pleaseplease
TOO COOL! I was just thinking about Neil Young's Old Man. Masters of War. 2 songs I would love to hear especially OCEANS(UNPLUGGED) and BEE GIRL! Can you imagine hearing The WOLF.
Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's Soul remains Unawakened.
