The circle keeps turning

Summer is here
today, today today!

as a teacher, it's an oasis of freedom

I've got my music on
there's so much joy in my heart
a feeling of anticipation
it's in the air like the hint of humidity in the early morning
still chilled 'cuz it's early
but the promise of heavy heat is there in the air

I've got my calendar on the desk
open weeks counted
plans, projects
I've got my list of dreams!

the beginning of the season is here
and happiness has come circling back
like a best friend
