Favorite bands of NCAA Tourney coaches

So one of the college basketball writers I follow on X (formerly twitter not the drug) asked each coach in the 2024 NCAA Tourney their favorite band.   See link below. Two mentioned PJ: Danny Hurley at UConn and Mark Byington at James Madison.

Also watching the MAC Championship game on Saturday night analyst said coach at Kent State Rob Senderhoff was going with his buddies to see PJ in Vegas this year.

Interesting to see the results. I would not have taken Lamont Paris as a Tupac fan. Given his demeanor and the way he conducts himself I would have guessed a pop/r&b act not gangsta rap. Never judge a book by its cover, right?

I think a few of these guys are going for street cred with their players. no one is really believing hubert davis and lil durk.

Probably so, but at least the time frame would be right for Paris to be a real Tupac fan. He'd have been in the 17-22 year old range when Tupac was rapping.
