Got my flu shot today. Gee, I guess I'm not an RFK supporter. Waah waah.
this guy would like a word.
Haha! In an absurdly, unlikely, hypothetical scenario, if I were to be interviewed by Rogan I would probably say some foolish things like "Wanna arm wrestle!?" and eventually get myself hurt.
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
you know the right is worried about RFK's independent turn with Hannity lambasting him on his show recently, after weeks of talking the guy up. so predictable.
for clarity, rogan also endorsed a chimp over both trump and biden. he frequently hosts conspiracy theorists, misogynists, anti-vaxxers, etc on his show and gives them a platform.

Yeah, but did he interview the chimp and get its take on issues like abortion and vaccinations?

he asked, but the chimp simply responded by throwing feces at Neil deGrasse Tyson.

I can picture RFK and Rogan pointing their finger at me and saying, "See, sucker! You feel like shit today, don't you!"
My reply would be, "Yes, fuckers, sirs, but that's because I got the big-boy "senior" double dose flu shot. I'll trade one day of feeling a bit beat up for a week to ten days of being sick with the flue. Same with the COVID vaxx next week. I don't know about you guys, but approaching the fourth year of the pandemic, I have not had COVID yet , so with all due respect, fuck off... sirs."

The moment Aaron labeled himself cancelled by the "woke mob" after being caught in a lie, the rest of this shit kinda wrote itself.

It sure seems like it sometimes. And yet I keep thinking about an interview I saw him a few months ago (I wish I could remember where), and he sounded very bright, purposeful, intelligent, quite sane, and had some really great ideas. He also dispelled (in that interview, anyway) the notion of him being an "anti-vaxer", saying he what he is, is being against releasing vaccinations without prior proper testing (I'm glad we have the COVID vax and I think they have been hugely helpful, but I also think a lot of people are in denial about some of the COVID vax drawbacks and won't honestly acknowledge that they have not been great for everybody- me for example- and could have been made better.)

he claims he's not anti vax, yet he admits to thinking there are literally NO safe vaccines. none.

What I want to know is, since when did politicians become experts on medical issues? We need to make our decisions about our health based on the most reliable sources of doctor's and scientist's information we can find, and still remain skeptical, but certainly not from what politicians say or from things we read on social media.
In general, this is why society is breaking down. We are getting information from the wrong sources, are being too quick to believe what we read in headlines, and have lost the ability to remain skeptical. This will cause the failure of society- probably even of civilization- to accelerate.
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

you're right, they aren't experts, but they have to be asked these types of questions in order to determine where they stand on policy. unfortunately, many of them and their followers do believe they are experts, when they tell them what they want to hear, that is. the vaccine thread is the most glaring example of that nonsense.
I keep seeing this meme floating around, something about "society will succeed when scientists are the celebrities" or something like that.

LOL, have not seen that one.
Unfortunately, throughout history more scientists have literally or figuratively been burned at the stake than have been celebrated.
Not that we should expect scientists in general to amuse or distract, but it seems to me we used to have more scientist who made science and nature both interesting and educational to wide audiences- Carl Sagan, Stephen Hawking, David Attenborough, Bill Nye and the like.
Edit: Timing, lol. Just saw this on FB from Neil deGrasse Tyson:
