That is one of the worst articles about PJ or any band that I have ever read, lol.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -
The irony of writing an article criticizing the band for making money while 85% of the webpage is ads, banners and pop ups.

I’m not sure that’s an article. Just a couple of rushed sentences copy and pasted together that are about Pearl Jam.you couldn't swing if you were hangin' from a palm tree in a hurricane0

I'm gonna go out here and say that an AI written article on MSN.com of all places is not indicative of anyone taking notice of anything.
If there were like...a PBS FRONTLINE special on it that'd be a different story.0 -
Springsteen's ticket prices in the summer of 2022 when the 2023 tour went on sale was front page news in almost every publication in the US including The NY Times, the LA Times, The Washington Post, etc.0

That article is crap, but people on social media are absolutely taking notice. Pearl Jam is trending for a reason, and a lot of it not good. If I was still in social media/community management (moved to teaching), I'd be monitoring a lot of angry fans.
I was lucky enough to get 10c tix to both Fenway shows, but they were steep even to me. There's no doubt that for the casual fan, I can't blame them.2003 Mansfield III

Data mining for content. Take what is on the forum and social media to create meaningless content.

I’m pretty sure that article was written by AI. It doesn’t even mention the price of the tickets. Oh, and it’s “the media HAVE” not “has.” Media are plural. My Pearl Jam Road: 10/22/90 Seattle | 12/22/90 Seattle, Moore Theater | 9/29/92 Seattle, Magnusson Park, Drop in the Park | 9/5/93 The Gorge, with Neil Young and Blind Melon | 7/20/06 Portland, Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall with Sleater-Kinney | 7/22/06 The Gorge, 10/21/06 Mountain View, Shoreline Ampitheatre, Bridge School Benefit | 9/21/09 Seattle | 9/22/09 Seattle | 9/26/09 Portland, OR | 7/14/2011 Eddie Vedder, Portland, OR | 11/29/13 Portland, OR0

"The media" is a singular group. The media has, media outlets have. Pearl Jam has, the members of Pearl Jam have.bicyclejoe said:I’m pretty sure that article was written by AI. It doesn’t even mention the price of the tickets. Oh, and it’s “the media HAVE” not “has.” Media are plural.

Depends on how the group is being used in the phrase ... but more importantly it depends on the country in which the article is written.mattcoz said:

Yes, as an American used to the singular, I always shudder when soccer announcers calling USMNT and USWNT games say "the United States are" in the British English style when I'm expecting "the United States is." We're united, damn it! It's right there in the name!Discopij said:

Having said that, I go with "the media are" unless I'm not paying attention to what I'm writing.I gather speed from you fucking with me.0
