I thought I was paying for:- better odds to get tix
- better tix
- the free shirt was nice too
odds keep getting worse
tix keep getting worse
free shirt is no more
My seats for Fenway are better than 2018. Could be that you're going to shows that are popular with lower-numbered-than-you members. Could be the way they determine "better" is different than you (I'm guessing more of the first than the second for arena shows; ballpark shows - especially Fenway - are a different monster).Real easy way to fix this. 10C & TM can be more transparent about # of 10C tix available, # of 10C registering, etc....
it's worse than that
sounds like people are being pushed out of the building altogetherPeople's seat locations are outside the building? Probably should contact customer support about that.0 -
wow, not fun at all, good bye to the good old days0

It's a broken system, getting tickets.
Hopefully Ten Club reads this thread and others and comes up with a new plan/benefits for mmbers.... Otherwise doesn't seem to be a point like there used to be.0 -

You tried to get tickets to two of the most popular shows of the tour. I don't that indicates anything wrong with the system, just that a LOT of people want to go to those shows.

Oh, the system is definitely fucked. This is a ticketbastard cash grab. They own the venues, the promotion, the scalping, charge exorbitant handling fees, and then take a cut of merch.1996-09.22; 1998-06.14,07.02,07.13,07.14,08.17,08.18; 2000-08.18,08.20,10.11,10.27,10.28; 2003-04.23,04.26,06.18,06.19,06.22; 2004-10.02,10.03,10.05; 2006-05.16,05.17,05.19,05.20,06.23,06.24; 2007-08.05; 2009-08.23,08.24,09.28,10.31; 2010-05.06,05.07; 2011-09.03,09.04; 2013-07.19; 2014-10.01; 2016-04.26,08.20,08.22; 2018-08.18, 08.20; 2022-09.17; 2023-09.05, 09.07; 2024-08.260

Is there, or is it manufactured scarcity to drive up prices. Who knows , since there's really no such thing as a face value ticket for anything anymore.1996-09.22; 1998-06.14,07.02,07.13,07.14,08.17,08.18; 2000-08.18,08.20,10.11,10.27,10.28; 2003-04.23,04.26,06.18,06.19,06.22; 2004-10.02,10.03,10.05; 2006-05.16,05.17,05.19,05.20,06.23,06.24; 2007-08.05; 2009-08.23,08.24,09.28,10.31; 2010-05.06,05.07; 2011-09.03,09.04; 2013-07.19; 2014-10.01; 2016-04.26,08.20,08.22; 2018-08.18, 08.20; 2022-09.17; 2023-09.05, 09.07; 2024-08.260

I cancelled my membership today after seeing the vast amount of "premium" priced tickets that were better than what I got from the Fan Club, which I've been in around 20 years. Today has been very disheartening.
Oh yes, and don't forget you can get an inferior FC ticket on F2F for face value while the band sells what used to be Fan Club tickets for 4x face value. It has been a long time since it was written that "if you hate something, don't you do it too." I guess it just doesn't apply anymore.

Tens of thousands of Ten Club members-- quite possibly well over 100,000 Ten Club members-- got tickets at face value as a result of participating in the Ten Club ticket lottery. If you don't consider that opportunity to be a benefit of membership, I don't know what to tell you. For the thousandth time, membership has never guaranteed tickets, let alone tickets to the most in-demand shows. How many of those people would have gotten tickets if they were left to the vagaries of a general public sale? Perhaps you'd prefer for Citibank cardholders to get the first crack at tickets instead of Ten Club members? That's how it works for many other artists.I gather speed from you fucking with me.0

Getting tickets to most events that sell out quickly has never been fun, in the history of tickets.
I used to line up at 5am to go to Carson Pirie Scott because they had a tickemaster location inside. Remember ticketmaster locations? I would get there at 5am, for a 10am onsale, and people had camped out. And then we had to deal with Karen behind the counter who wouldl just give you the best available. And if you didnt like those, too bad, you could sell them outside the arena on the day of the show and risk getting arrested, or you could post an ad in the classified section of the newspaper. But that is if you were lucky enough to get tickets.
Then came the phone number for TM. That probably was worse. Non-stop busy signals, then you got through and it was sold out.
The best possible time for me getting tickets to Pearl Jam was from 1998-2005 or so. Those were the overlapping periods of "Send in your money order and your index cards, and we will get you something, you wont know where until the day of the show", which was stress free for me...I knew I was likely going to get in. But can you imagine dealing with thousands of index cards?
Then came the internet and online F5 experience. Most of the time, I did well early on for those, but as time went by, more members, etc...It was hard to get to a computer during work hours to sit there for 2 hours and F5. Was it PJ20 where I f5'ed for 8 hours? I dont miss that.
This sucks. Its always about demand. There have always been ticket "brokers" who get tickets in advance. There have always been season ticket holders, friends of friends, owners seats, etc.
I'm just glad that its not (usually) appointment based ticket buying. Nobody should have to dedicate a half a day or miss work to try for tickets to something, but thats demand for you. We get a good shot at getting tickets and being in the building right now. Its not always successful and sucks when we get shut out multiple times, but it's still a better system than we have now.
And verified fan is better than general onsale (in theory). General onsale, the person with the fastest internet connection, and perhaps some tech savvy, can get tickets faster than someone who has a slower connection, or someone who needs computer accessibility due to vision issues, etc. At least verified fan picks people randomly and only lets in a few at a time so as not to crash the system.
Bottom line, tickets are hard to get for shows that sell out quickly. And tickets that sell out quickly are usually things that are more expensive due to demand.

But seriously, I sometimes wish the did a few more shows here and there. If they had added, say, cleveland and milwaukee to this tour, then Wrigley would have been easier to get for some, and better seats for everyone going.
And for NY....yeah, it sucks. Millions of people in one place, just too much demand.
But Pearl Jam is not going to do a residency at MSG, just because they could sell it out. I have no doubt that if PJ played 20 straight at MSG, they would sell them all out. They just dont want to do that. And it would be a bit weird if they did. I think Garth Brooks does a standard setlist, with just a couple of different songs each night, right? Most artists do this, they dont play totally different setlists.
I remember someone asking me why I would go see PJ like, 4-5 times on a tour....its because I would probably hear some unique songs in each show, and aside from some of the main hits (5-7 per night?) the show is always different.
So yeah, this keeps it fresh for them, and special for us, and not a residency.Turn this anger into
