I've been a Ten Club member for years.
your profile says you joined in 2021
And what's the point of the membership?
that's the $35 question a lot of people seem to be asking themselves today
I was a member a few years before, then missed a year....But whatever, it shouldn't be this hard to buy tickets. I'm wondering why we are paying for memberships - for this - and free $10 bootleg?

I thought I was paying for:
    • better odds to get tix
    • better tix
    • the free shirt was nice too

    odds keep getting worse
    tix keep getting worse
    free shirt is no more

My seats for Fenway are better than 2018. Could be that you're going to shows that are popular with lower-numbered-than-you members. Could be the way they determine "better" is different than you (I'm guessing more of the first than the second for arena shows; ballpark shows - especially Fenway - are a different monster).

Real easy way to fix this.  10C & TM can be more transparent about # of 10C tix available,  # of 10C registering, etc....

Sure. I also don't doubt that seats for lower-numbered members are pushed back somewhat due to the Premium seats, but from what I've seen, it's not like anyone is being forced to the back of the arena or the upper deck (unless they got P2 seats).

Blame TM. There are only so many seats they will hand over to Bands for their fan clubs. They won't just provide the entire venue. The band provided a method (good or bad) for their fans to get what was provided to them by TicketMaster. Those tix were distributed fully. Fan club demand was higher than supply. Someone is not going to get those tickets. Unless the band owns the venue, not much else they can do
They can play more shows =)

Ticketmaster is the music industry's most convenient Boogeyman. These bands are businesses and the goal is to make money. Platinum pricing helps them do just that. Ticketmaster is not forcing anyone into anything.

Exact same problem. I have a paid for membership (that conveniently expires Feb 25....won't be renuing!), and I get the error: "This Sale Is for Selected Fans" when I connect to TicketMaster. What the hell do I do now?

  • Real easy way to fix this.  10C & TM can be more transparent about # of 10C tix available,  # of 10C registering, etc....

Sorry but how does more transparency provide an easy way to fix the problem?  Its obvious there are way more FC members than tickets available.

My take was that it fixes the problem of not knowing why your seats are farther back than a previous show in the same arena.

Honestly, I do think that Ten Club members should get codes for any cities they didn't get in the lottery. At the very least, putting in a 10C request should automatically register you for the General Sale. Doesn't make sense that we have to register for two separate sales at the same time, or that if we don't get tickets in the lottery we're not going to want to try for tickets in the General Sale.
A lot of 10c "members" are ticket broker accounts though. I'm not sure if the verified "fan" screening system is effective or not, but automatic codes could have unintended consequences

If you’re only in for MSG (and Philly) don’t expect great result as mentioned a million times on the boards. There’s still Fan 2 Fan. Wait a few weeks and there will tickets on there (people’s plans changing, realizing they over extended their finances by get tickets to too many shows, etc..) Or, if you can hold out till the day of the show you will find tickets available for well below face value on the secondary market. Last year I could have picked lower level side of arena seats for St Paul N1 for around $50. Others have reported similar experiences. A buddy of mine grabbed a St Paul N2 ticket for $35.

Supposedly, but that would be gone if members (who aren't really fans) automatically got codes.

No, they don't automatically get codes, they get automatically put into TM's system. No different than registering manually like we did for this tour. They'd still have to get "verified".

Fair point. My later commend amends that, though. Also, yes, I get that we got the link in the same email (I followed the instructions), I just think it would be easier to say, "Entering the 10 Club lottery automatically registers your for the TM sale in those cities. Click here to register for other cities (or without entering the lottery)." (No, I don't know why someone would register for the general sale and not the lottery, but I'm sure people do.) I think that's cleaner and clearer, too.
