  • The drums, particularly in the choruses, are amazing in both playing and sound. The song direction after the 2nd chorus is awesome, too. It reminds me of talking heads. I’m very excited to hear what they all came up with together.

Been staying off the boards until now to avoid other thought until I had a chance to really digest the song. That said, I’ve probably listened to it about 20 times now and man, I freakin’ LOVE IT. I love how this band can continue to surprise us with new sounds and new directions. I feel so grateful that this band I love is still making such good music 30+ years into their career. Bravo boys! Can’t wait to hear more and experience these songs live.

Sorry.. I'm just being 100% honest..This song is a snoozefest. I've given it at least 15 spins and I'm still not feeling it.

    It's just....blah.

Hopefully some of the other tunes on the album will click for you.

After purchasing the digital download it isn't available for download in my order details.  I feel like I am missing something obvious, anyone have any tips? The order says processing.

I got an email with the download links; have you checked it? That’s the only way I could find to download them. I, too, figured you’d be able to dl from the order history but nope.

I bought the tracks individually and saved a penny. Help offset some of that ticket cost lol.

I was curious about whether this is getting any radio play. According to the online playlists for the two modern-ish rock stations here in L.A., "Dark Matter" appears to have gotten four spins today on Alt 98.7 and two spins on KROQ. (KROQ bills itself as a modern rock station but plays mostly '90s and '00s "oldies.")
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

No download links in my email either.  Frustrating.  Thanks for the info, hopefully 10c replies to me sooner rather than later.

The breakdown about 34 seconds in, sounds so much like Soundgarden.
I have that impression too. Probably Matt's influence...

I heard it three times on 94.7 here in Portland yesterday. They really pushed the "world premier" angle, with a quick introduction from Stone. Reminded me of the old days when this was the only way I could hear a new single for the first time.
