Gonna get completely drowned out by the swifty faithful unless it comes out well before4/19.
Does it really matter? At this point, they're a Veteran rock act with a loyal following. They're not really mainstream anymore. Those of us still paying attention will buy a copy or two, but I'm not sure if being overshadowed by a bigger more current artist impact them? The people most likely to buy the album will still buy the album. Those who aren't, probably won't anyways.

I mean I generally agree, but I do think they'd like a little space for the release to "breathe" and then there's only so much music media bandwidth at any given time. I really do think they'd prefer not to release that close to the most popular star on the planet.

I’d love a single Friday… or today for that matter. But I’m not sure it makes a lot of sense to do a standalone single 4 days before the album announcement.
