    He did a lot of great work with Tom Morello in their project to supply guitars to jail inmates.

    Absolutely. He made some mistakes in his younger days, then spent most of the rest of his life trying to pass on what he learned as he grew up. I actually got to go to a prison in Michigan with him once when he donated guitars and spoke to some of the inmates and played some songs solo acoustic for them. It was an incredible experience. Also was front row right at his feet for the first of the Detroit MC50 shows back in 2018 (with Matt guesting on drums and Kim Thayil and Billy Gould also in the band), that show blew me away! Very much going to miss him.
