The NFL is becoming borderline unwatchable these days.
Especially that Vikings vs. Raiders game. What a pile of crap game.
    It's a hopeless situation...

I’m not okay with Mahomes reaction either.  Also trying to put the blame on the refs for Toney.  Look down the line and make sure you are behind the football.  That’s on the player.  Hold your player accountable for once, Andy.
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

What Im thinking is Mahomes really had no idea about Toney being offsides or not.  It was bubbled up frustration for the worst stretch of his career, losing the Packers game with an unfortunate call, terrible WR play/dropped passes, and an offensive offsides capping it off would be frustrating.  Mahomes hasn't really had to deal with this kind of thing in his career and he needs to handle it better.  Losing 4 of 6, scoring 9, 17, 19, 17 in the 4 losses.  Probably a bit of entitlement which came through with his 'how dare the refs make a call and ruin a highlight for Kelce's hall of fame career' take.  Doubled down in his press conference, which really made him look like a douche who expects the referees to run interference for him and the Chiefs for the good of the league.

Reid spoke up to support his franchise player.  Really no choice there for him.

Maybe instead of being pissed at the officials, Patrick Mahomes should be pissed at his knucklehead receiver who lined up in the 4th row of the end zone stands.
The play to be upset about in that game wasn’t the offside (which was clear).  The throw Allen made falling backward toward the sideline to Murray was not a catch.  I can’t understand how the ball can be moving the entire time, regardless of how many steps he took, and then losing the football is a catch and fumble.  That was the critical play of the game.
They got that one wrong I thought... although the kelce one was wrong too.

The Murray play was inconsequential though.  The bills ended up with about 4th and 20 and punted right after that.

Mahomes and Reid should be mad at toney, not the call.  Mahomes implying that they should have picked up the flag because kelce made a cool play and throwing a temper tantrum like that screams entitlement.
That's what bothered me....yeah cool play but fuck off...dude was way offside
    Yup… wasn’t even close.
If he points at the official, notifying him that he's on the line, he may have got the warning.  But he didn't do it.
I was wondering if he di that or not. Still, he couldn't see he was offsides?(Looks like he's looking right down toward the Center)

He’s so damn competitive and amped up in the moment that it really did all come up at once.  First time I have seen him make a mistake when talking to the press.  I wonder if he has any remorse for it.

Tua is an incapable and inadequate quarterback if his first read isnt wide open in the first 2 seconds of a play.

I know this is the popular position but I think last night was messed up for him....4 of 5 starting OL were missing after 1st qtr.  3 or 5 didn't dress.
If TN had their beast lineman (he was out, I forget his name) playing it may have been 10 sacks instead of 5.

There are a lot of throws Tua makes which are in anticipation of the player being open, but they are covered when he throws.

The love he receives is the love that is saved

Would you want your team to give him something like a 6-year, $50 million contract with a lot guaranteed?

No,I would not.  I like the team I root for's current approach - pay your QB the league minimum.  Let him play at elite level for bargain basement $ and carry huge deals for RB, WR, LB, TE, OL, and multiple DL.
    Brock rules!

Let Brock walk when his deal is up.
Shanny can even make that colossal loser Jimmy G into a productive QB.

This mildly bugs me---- but does anyone find it odd, especially in 2023, that Tommy Devito and his agent being Italian is somehow funny to a lot of people? I'm half Italian and I can see the humor. But what if Tommy Devito was black and had a black agent? Would it be acceptable to make jokes of their blackness? What if Tommy Devito was Asian and had a Chinese agent? Would twitter be laughing at their "overwhelming" Oriental-ness?

Again, I totally get the joke. I just suspect that a lot of the people laughing about it twitter are the same sort of people who would get mad at others for making similar jokes/comments about other races or ethnicities.

^ for me the living at home, eating cutlets and having a loving mama do his choirs is the angle I see… the Italian part is his family being comfortable, they had a giant feast in the lot… heard 300 chicken cutlet sandwiches dished out

the agent guy is playing up the mob thing 🤣…. For clickbait reasons and like everyone else, looking to cash in

It sells. That is all the NFL cares about. I cannot blame Devito's family and team for capitalizing on this opportunity. The difference to what you mention is that those other groups might not get the same traction or "market share." Pure speculation without a real opinion :) I will say that I thought of Benny Blanco when I saw his agent in the stands.

I’m full Italian and won’t be satisfied until DeVito poaches Big Dom from the Eagles to be his Luca Brasi.

And yeah people would go crazy if it was black or Asian stereotypes being joked about. I wouldn’t care in the least, but the jokes probably wouldn’t be all that funny. As opposed to….
