  • The Patriots should go back to the red uniforms and helmets from the 1980’s because their team is almost identical to those lowly 80’s teams.

Fun fact: between 1980 & 1989 they only had 2 seasons where they finished below .500. In 7 of those 10 years they finished no worse than tied for 2nd in the division.

They weren't world beaters by any means, but they weren't the dregs of the league either, they were middle of the pack or better.

You got him. Only 3 titles and pedestrian numbers compared to 7 titles and just about every passing record imaginable. You can have your Ache Man.

A: They wore those uni's once already this season, week 2 against Miami. (and looked spectacular).
    2. The lowly teams were actually the early 90's. First half of decade prior to arrivals of Parcells and then Bledsoe.
    1990: 1-15
    1991: 6-10
    1992: 2-14
1993: 5-11 (first year for Parcells, Bledsoe and the blue uniforms)
Since then, only 4 losing seasons out of the next 29. (this will make it 5 of 30).
As Merkin Baller pointed out, the 80's Patriots were pretty good, a lot of the late 70's talent left over to start the decade (that team should have won a Superb Owl, thank you for nothing Ben Dreith).

Take it a step further... from 1974 - 1988 they had 2 seasons below .500.

The myth that they were bottom feeders for decades before Parcells arrived is just that, a myth. It was literally 4 seasons of being the bottom of the barrel.

Didn’t mean to side track the thread…the most important thing is that they are bottom feeders now .

That's the direction they seem to be headed.
  • They will be bottom feeders about as long as the Detroit Lions are contenders
  • You can be certain your role as starting qb is probably over when they pull you for the final drive and throw in the back up cold. 😂
I don’t know if I have ever seen anything like that.

Sure appears like a lot of ppl have fallen off the old Pats bandwagon, don’t see much merch anymore. Good, the true fans are still here. Big changes coming.

  • They were better w/ Patricia as OC.

    Go figure.

That throw on the pick was brutal.
    I mean just brutal.
You have your very tall TE behind the defense and you throw it low and short. WTF was he thinking/doing? You just lob a high ball in the end zone and it's an easy TD. Even Tony Eason or Hugh Millen could have made that throw.

Ridiculously stupid nickname aside, I agree.
The guy is just shell shocked and can't compete.
    Zappe really no better.
They better finish 2-15 and get either Williams or Harrison Jr.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT beat the Jets in week 18.

  • Brady would be winning his 8th SB with this defence, from the couch like Flacco. Lol.
With all the records they set in the glory years, it’s really something to do something no team has done since 1938.

Anyone think they score any points agains Pittsburgh? They might win, but it’ll be because Trubisky throw 2 pick-sixes in a 14-10 Pats win.
