Playing with the Fender serial number lookup tool, it looks like they’ve been churning out a good bit more of these in October.
The original batch seemed to be around 500 guitars, but now I see serial numbers as high as 1109 with October build dates.

Mine is dated August, and I received it September 9th… so I would expect these October built ones to start showing up fairly soon.


EDIT: the one on Reverb from a few posts up has an October build date (serial # MM00985), so they’re getting them out fast once complete.

I ordered mine the day it was released and it came in a couple weeks ago.

I ordered before the release date -- they're saying March.

My guitar teacher loves strats, he has a 3 or 4.  He has two Eric Johnson signatures and another is an American Stansard.
I had been learning on a Les Paul and I could sense his disappointment with it when learning Yellow Ledbetter.   When I received my Mike McCready strat, he played it and was stunned saying a few times “this is the best sounding strat I’ve ever played.”
