Ten Years Ago...Worcester 1

This show is a forgotten classic. Just a few shows into the epic 2013 tour, this was my first indication of how good the Evening With shows could be. Release-->Long Road that night was mind blowing. The "double openers" would become common as the tour went on, but ten years ago in Worcester it was brand new.

NAIS, Red Mosquito, Leash, Man Of The Hour, Fatal...just a killer show.

Show was insane! Hartford 10 days later up there too. I balled my eyes out after Release —> Long Road —> Elderly Woman. Many, many shipyard pumpkinhead beers played a part

I was there.  Was watching the Red Sox at the local bar and I think they ran out of beer.  This of course was the precursor to the Band of Bearded Brothers winning the World Series.  They should have won the ESPY that year for best team.  I think Ortiz had a HR during the game.

You are correct. Watched the game at Mike’s Cigar bar. Great spot. Jon Lackey pitched well and Sox beat Tigers.

"Welcome to the Red Sox victory party"
Napoli went yard...won Sox won 1-0.  Game ended just in time to walk to DCU Center to see PJ have an awesome show.  At the time, was quite emotional in the year of the Marathon Bombing...it all hit home with the Long Road/Release Open...Eddie had a 'Boston Strong' pin front and center.  Great, great day.

Night 2 was 10 Years ago today. Another epic set. I remember it took Eddie a bit to get going as I think he had about 9 bottles of wine night 1 🤣

It was surprisingly short given night 1, but I found myself listening to the boot a ton over the years. My first Pendulum, my only Gone and OTHER SIDE!

PS: If that soundcheck is accurate, holy shit. To be a fly on the wall.

I believe the story was that Ed let a long time fan make a couple requests (or help with the setlist) and that was how Fatal and Other Side got played? Or am I misremembering that?

I think the person that won the contest either in the monthly newsletter or Deep magazine that did the Amsterdam 2 2012 setlist had requested both Fatal and Otherside at that show.  The band played neither in Amsterdam and Ed said they would play them at the next shows he was at, which were these two.

Yes!  I knew it was something like that.
