To my knowledge, the only way to receive notifications from the forum is via email. But fear not, ask and you shall receive!
I've set up a "published notification" at ntfy.sh. ntfy will provide us a way to instantly sends and receive notifications. Moving forward, I'll post all alerts both here on the forum and on ntfy.

Thanks for doing that! If you go through the steps on your lap/desktop, how would you receive the alerts? Do you put in a phone number to get text notifications? Or is it just simpler to got through the phone app? And with either option, do you have to create an Nfty account? I hope my questions made sense.

Notifications are through the device you set it up on, it does not send text messages. An account is not necessary. On a desktop you set it up in a browser and the notifications are sent to that browser. On mobile, download the ntfy app (iOS or Android) and follow my instructions. You'll then get an instant notification in the ntfy app.

Note: when you first set up the notifications you'll see all the previously sent notifications. simply delete them and you'll then only see future notifications.
