My first show just had its 30 year anniversary a few days ago - July 11th, 1993

Neil Young with Booker T & The MGs, supported by Pearl Jam, James, Teenage Fanclub, and 4 Non-Blondes.

All for £22.50 plus bus fare  =)

Neil has the audio of his set streaming on NYA so I’ve been able to relive it a few times too.

An excellent beginning to a concert resume!

Nice! The days when crazy idiots would bring fireworks to indoor shows, I remember someone lighting a Roman candle at the show I was at we were at the very last row up top so it was safe for us. Then in 77 @MSG were up in the 400’s and def saw people throwing M80’s down into the crowd and actually Plant stopped the show and said I firecracker or M80 almost hitting Page  they were ready to walk off stage

Neil Young & Crazy Horse in 2001, with The Black Crowes opening.

Had an amazing sounding boot of it (with the cover above). It's up on NYA now also. 2001 was a great tour.

Great White, opener was Whitesnake.  1988, maybe?  It was awesome, I was totally into Whitesnake and had a blast.
Do you remember if Steve Vai was with them at this time?

Tickets were £3.50. I went to see them last week at the O2 and they were £90.
These two are amazing concerts.  You got to see the great Chaka Khan when she was starting her solo career.

Then you have another that got to see the original Maiden lineup w Di'anno on vocals.  Cool as hell.

AC/DC July 1991 with LA Guns opening.

They opened with Thunderstruck and I couldn't make out the song until about halfway through as the crowd was ridiculously loud.
Then you had that damn bell that Brian hit w a sledge and was LOUD as hell.
To end the show and ruin my hearing some more, the cannons for Those about to Rock went off...

    What a show.

Whole lotta Rosie they had a huge inflatable woman that Brian suckled, lol.

Also Aerosmith.  Around '94.  Megadeth opened.  I just remember all beer sales were cut off as soon as Aerosmith hit the stage.  Me and my buddy were quite pissed.  Good show, but why are you cutting everyone off just because you may be an alcoholic?
