    So what happens with these bands do they run into writers block! That they can’t come up with more material?

    They spend 10-20 years writing and coming up with ideas for album 1 which has major label success backed by 1 or 2 hits.

    Then the label demands they release another album in 1-2 years, it has no hits, sales flop and they get dropped by their label and fall into obscurity.
