got a hook up from a friend..wasnt even gonna go but glad I just went to hang with everyone at Coogans..(Touchofgray16..I missed you last nite but I dot even know what you look like so lets hang tonite!) I got mine for way under face and soo many fans last nit up until 8:30 couldnr even get 10 bucks for their spare. Kinda sux that you have to eat 80 bucks. I'm not one to complain about tenclub cause Im not even a fanclub member but wow...felt really bad for a few people out there. If ed does another solo tour ever again or PJ for that matter I think we should try some new methods of tix distribution..just as an experiment as ed would say or did last nite. Thats my only semi beef Oh and having Eds bouncer tell us all last night he would come out and sign one item each and hang..and in the end after 2 plus hours of waitin all we got was a Hey guys a handshake or 2 and right on the bus...Come on ed...you can do us a lil better than that..Talk to mike, he;ll tell ya..we dont bite! :d
Other than that All I wanted to do was Thank ed for a tribute to my boy who passed by playing I am Mine and Moth...so if you're reading it ed..Thank you You made my nite..oh and Let my love open the Door??? THANK YOU!!!!...and just a great vibe, setlist and saying I thought we left the assholes in Boston. CLASSIC!!! lmfao!!
crowd was well behaved and he appreciated it

see you all tonite for one last show until...............

PJ WORLDWIDE TOUR 09!!! :D
Aah, fuck it, I’m just gonna go home, turn on the fuckin’ TV...
Watch the nightly news and drink a beer...
Like I could even change the world, yeah right...

  • Are you saying people couldn't get rid of their 10c extra? That's just ridiculous.
  • ToneTone Posts: 1,206
Yeah, there were a few 10c empty seats around me too (in rows 6 & 7) and there were people all over the board yesterday trying to offload extras. I'm considering heading up tonight to try and get a ticket (not to rip anyone off, but to go again cause it was so friggin cool!).

i was walking around at 815 yelling "free orchestra ticket!!!" and the only person who wanted it was a scalper.

i also ate $90. it sucked.

I think the problem is they don't advertise beforehand...most people who don't have a ticket don't bother going right before the show to get one-they assume they're spoken for. Just post it online a couple days in advance!

In seattle in 02 some guy GAVE me a ticket before the show. I offered him money but he wouldn't take it!

I think it would be different if the venue was in a different area... midtown, downtown etc, I think more people would be more likely to "swing by" to check out if there were any tix going.

    so tix were cheap

doesnt that mean the ticket situation was GOOOOOOOOD
    anybody couldve gotten in
  • No, the problem is, is that the venue is in washington heights, way uptown in manhattan on 175th street....venues that they would play like MSG, Hammerstein, Nokia etc etc are mostly midtown between 30th-50th (except beacon), and its a looooong train ride

I wonder why tix were so hard to get rid of! STB and I had trouble finding tix for Vancouver night 2. I can't see why people wouldn't want to go! If I lived in New York (or nearby) I would SO be there tonight!

I think it's just to do with the location of the venue... it's about as far uptown as you can get, it's quite a hike.

yea pretty much, and on a monday and also The Police was playing last night so Im sure even the so so pj fans decided to do that..many factors, not a great neighborhood, the fact that people kinda already know what the setlists gonna be like even tho eds thrown a few curveballs like last night.
lets see how it goes tonite.

  • love pj

    loved the show
    love 10c

    BUT

not one poster saying Eddie is playing, nothing on the marquee, many many many people in wash hgts would go and buy the extra tix at the door or just post in wash hgts blogs

I thought it was weird that nothing was posted anywhere either...no posters, no marquee, and the website has a list of events that hasn't been updated since the end of last year. Was a beautiful venue, but if they don't care about promoting it, it makes it an odd place to have a show

The crazy thing about it is that I don't mind paying what I paid for the tickets, its that after how crazy the initial rush was, I can't even begin to get rid of my extra, LOL
  • Its shameful how many tickets were available as I walked up to the venue last night. One guy a block away had what looked like a deck of cards of EV tickets. For shiz and gizzles I offered a guy right out front of the box office $5 for a lodge seat and he asked for $20 at 8:35. I seen some good seats out there for way less than face.

One guy said he had a balcony seat went in early and bought like 5 posters walked out put them in his car and bought a Orch row X for $35 at like 8:20.

Word to the wise-- go with $50 bucks in pocket and if you wait until 8:30 you can probably get a good seat with beer wine money to spare.

agreed with the last 4 posts..esp the spoiled NY thing..hell yea..NY made us lke this! lol...."FUCK I gota take a subway for an hour???" lol

meanwhile when my ass lived in miami all i did was bitvh and complain about how muh I missed the system here and all that..yea youre right! :D Glad I had to "endure" such a long mission, hahaha

and wtf..that place said CHURCH out there not united palace
UNITED CHURCH..for like 10 mins were like..no..thats not it..yea it has to be..no..yea..lmao
    fuckin weird, but damn
once you get inside that plave puts the beacon to shame and thats TOUGH. SOundwise and seatwise not a bad seat in the house. My hookup got me dead center upper to mid balcony and it was great!

  • The issue wasnt the location. It was a combo of great seats opening up 2 days before the show and them being availble day of the show in ticketmaster. The problem lies in the fact that the show appeared sold out in 15 minutes the day of the show on ticketmaster and then opened up with the best seats in the house the day before and of etc. If they more, most, or all the tix availble on the day of sale, it would have sold out and there wouldnt have been such an influx of available tix that are better than the ones everyone already has. But nothing to do with location IMO since VERY EASY to get to. You know if all tix were on sale day of, instead of releasing Orchestra seats the day before, they would have sold out.

that uptown part i don't get, it's not that much further from midtown on the subway than Yankee Stadium. It's a 25-minute trip on the A train from midtown manhattan, not that hard. Personally I hate the subway at rush hour, so I just took the M5 bus up and got a free ride and a scenic one as it goes down riverside drive for most of the trip.

lol...YES! I drove 1.5 hours to Berkeley on a work night, WELL worth it! Also took a plane ride to Vancouver. I don't get how the venue could be "so" out of the way if it is only a subway ride away, but their loss! Still think it is a shame though. Come back to the West Coast Ed! :D

it's real nice to see the scalpers take a beating :)

if you got shut out of the show just show up with cash...if you can play the wait game chances are you will pay less than face, in most circumstances.
