 Mike is one of the best guitar players IMO. He always manages to make the same songs sound new through his solos at the concerts.

But when Mike McCready takes over in the homestretch, it’s a moment of both total familiarity and the excitement of a participatory, one-of-a-kind musical revelation. In a lot of ways, that duality is one of the reasons Pearl Jam still means so much to so many.
