Saw Cold open for Weezer back in 2001.

The pairing was as odd back then as it sounds today.

River co-wrote some of their songs I believe. I do remember hearing that the Weezer fans did not like them at all when they opened for them. Which is understandable, kinda different genres.

Damn it has been awhile since I heard Dynamite Hack. Lots of fun memories that summer going on trips with friends and blasting that album. "Anyways" is a guilty pleasure too and there is a cool acoustic version at the end of the album.

Probably been over 15 years since I heard anything from them.

I hated this song because of the lead singer.  Dope ass bass line though.  They actually had a song that came out after this that killed.  Was SHOCKED it was them.  Everything else is horrible.

Love Peter Bjorn and John but those weren't hits unfortunately, Neither of them charted and Amsterdam wasn't even a single. Second Chance surprisingly didn't chart since it was the theme song to "Second Chance". Only single to come close to doing well is probably my fav PB&J song "Nothing to Worry About". Didn't chart in the states but did ok in a few countries.

Meh, a one hit wonder is a band that you only hear one song from.  Second Chance also was the 2 Broke Girls theme song.

I recommend that Wheetus story.  It's a good watch.  He talks about the "gun to school" line and that was a big deal back then.

Ooops yeah I meant 2 Broke Girls theme song. That's not what I consider a one hit wonder though. I consider a one hit wonder to do well on the charts and get significant airplay. Second Chance didn't even make the charts in any country. Yeah it was a theme song but when did you hear it being played besides on the show? Just my opinion though.

Not sure exactly where you would have heard them on the radio since two of those songs weren't even released as singles. I do love Amsterdam though. Also if you consider Writer's Block to be the one album wonder I strongly disagree with that. Living Thing and Gimme Some were better and charted higher than that one (at least here in the US).  Agree to disagree i suppose
