Thoughts on Candlebox...

I just finished up a "Candlebox weekend" seeing them both Friday and Sunday night.
I still think they are very underrated. On Friday they were the opener for Three Doors Down and most of the crowd didn't seem to give a crap about them. I was one of the few in my area that stood up the whole time.
Last night (Sunday) was better with most of the crowd being really into it. It was a smaller venue and they were the headliner, so I can see why.
Kevin Martin still knows how to put on a good show and the whole band was really having some fun. Plus, he gives away all kinds of stuff to the kids in the crowd. They rely very heavily on their first album, which I get since that's the one most people know, but I was hoping to hear some more songs from the middle albums. They did drop 2 brand new songs on us which excites me for the new album this August.
Since it's their farewell tour, I would like to try to squeeze in one more show somewhere if I could.

Love their debut, that man can sing. They got lumped into the PJ wannabees like Creed and I never understood it. To be honest Creed wasnt one either0

Plus, he keeps showing off his songwriting abilities. "Wolves" is a great album with some amazingly written songs.1998: Noblesville, IN 08-172000: Noblesville, IN 08-182003: Noblesville, IN 06-222006: Cincinnati, OH 06-242010: Noblesville, IN 05-072016: Lexington, KY 04-26, Wrigley Field 2 08-222018: Wrigley Field 1 08-18, Wrigley Field 2 08-202022: St. Louis, MO 09-182024: Noblesville, IN 08-26, Wrigley Field 1 08-29, Wrigley Field 2 08-31

Saw them at Woodstock a long time ago. Walked right up front. Only remember that one popular song they played. Cool they are still doing it well. Nice.0

They've had 4 albums come out since that one. I'm always surprised to see how little people know about them and how few people attend their concerts.1998: Noblesville, IN 08-172000: Noblesville, IN 08-182003: Noblesville, IN 06-222006: Cincinnati, OH 06-242010: Noblesville, IN 05-072016: Lexington, KY 04-26, Wrigley Field 2 08-222018: Wrigley Field 1 08-18, Wrigley Field 2 08-202022: St. Louis, MO 09-182024: Noblesville, IN 08-26, Wrigley Field 1 08-29, Wrigley Field 2 08-31

They opened for 3 Doors Down again this past Friday, but were the headliner on Sunday.1998: Noblesville, IN 08-172000: Noblesville, IN 08-182003: Noblesville, IN 06-222006: Cincinnati, OH 06-242010: Noblesville, IN 05-072016: Lexington, KY 04-26, Wrigley Field 2 08-222018: Wrigley Field 1 08-18, Wrigley Field 2 08-202022: St. Louis, MO 09-182024: Noblesville, IN 08-26, Wrigley Field 1 08-29, Wrigley Field 2 08-31
