Who does better frame work,Michael's or Hobby Lobby?
I think this is highly dependent on the experience and competence of the staff at your particular store.

For those of you who have used online framing sites (Art To Frame, American Frame, Frame It Easy), is it "difficult" putting the frames together? I've got four 18" x 24" and the LONG Yield 25 yr poster I want to get framed but wasn't sure if I should go that route (as opposed to a local frame shop). I assume I should probably acquire a drill?
I know I could save some $ by getting the stuff online and putting it together myself but wanted opinions first. Had a great frame shop at an Air Force base I lived close too (who did my 2018 Klausen Seattle) but have since moved away unfortunately.
I’ve started doing FrameItEasy for the past few shows and use them for other non-poster stuff over the past 5 years. I love my local framer, but $150+ for simple black frames vs DIY assembly is easy - especially with show prints that aren’t signed/numbered.

The key is to make sure your 18”x24” prints are actually that size and not 18.125” x 23.5” or something slightly off like that.

What you save in cost does come at the cost of plexiglass and less protection, if that means anything. Just be sure to allow your posters to flatten before assembling and you should be fine.

If you want them matted, there are clear plastic tabs on Amazon to help position the poster against mats without touching the poster.
Thanks for the awesome feedback! How would you search for these "clear plastic tabs" you speak of on Amazon? Just search "poster tabs" or something like that? Do you happen to have a link to what you've used in the past? I only ask because the ones I've gotten framed so far are matted and wanted to keep the "matted vibe" in my PJ poster frames.
And yes, the PJ posters I had framed at the AF base shop are glass vs. plexiglass...so I'm curious if it would look THAT much different.

    Nice!

I have this print too, although not framed. Glad to have one from one of his shows, even if it isn't show specific.
I only saw him live once (Portland 2016) and there wasn't a poster, unfortunately. What an amazing show.
    https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/mark-lanegan/2016/star-theater-portland-or-4bffcb1a.html
I thought I got this print on the '16 tour, but I could be mistaken. I saw him in both '16 & '17, so IDK..

    Maybe @trees can confirm.
This was for a tour thart never happened because of covid and then he wanted to tour after his Covid. And was going to rehearse and get ready for a tour then he passed away. This does look like it would be for the 2017 Gargoyle album and the Somebody's knocking. 2019 Door knocker on the album cover . Hamilton the artist has the story on his website.
Thanks for the reply. I definitely bought mine when he played the Brighton Music Hall (Boston)... I think it was when Duke Garwood opened.

I just read what you mentioned on the artist's site... I have to assume he's referencing the specific batch that he has for sale as being for a future tour, as I definitely got mine at a show pre-covid,
Ok that's cool. Iam glad you got too see Mark Lanegan perform   i only saw him the one time at Sonic Festival 2019 . happy to have a poster of his that fits my collection. I've collected alot his work now from Poetry books all his books .cds albums. Collaborations and there is alot .and bootlegs I have most of t
His cd bootlegs but there are a few that are not findable. And his bootlegs on vinyl are amazing. Plus Duke Garwood is a amazing musican
    Peace

Per this threads suggestion, I have my first art to frame purchase en route instead of michaels. Michaels really does a great job but was costing between 165-190 a poster. Art to frame was $94 shipped. Hoping it works out

So got my frame from art to frame. I will I’ll be using them over Michaels from now on. Literally half the price and came out better than I was expecting. Plus the frame came in less than a week. Michaels takes a month or more to get it back. The frame is little more modest than what I was getting at Michaels but again it’s half the price. If anyone is considering the site, consider me a fan. Ordering frame 2 from there today. Finished product:

Looks awesome! I haven't ordered from them, but I've ordered a few frames from Frame It Easy & I would recommend them as well.

Yes I ordered the mat. It was about an extra $25-28. I didn’t have to touch it though. It was placed in the frame already

When married, I was given one wall for gig posters. Now that I’m divorced, sold the house and downsized to an apartment, I went for it and hung most of them
I think there are about 19 PJ  related ones. Apologies for the bad quality in the photos, but here they are warts, and all. I went to every single one of these, with the exception of MSG 2020 Covid. Made it to the rescheduled show last year (Present Tense SLAYED), but that poster is too expensive now.

Was lucky enough to add another really cool piece from Artist Brian Fox’s collection recently. Just got it back from the framer and really dig it! Now just need to find the wall space amongst all the other posters 🤪
