Anybody going to Power Trip festival?

I was curious how the venue is?
How bad is the drive from LAX looks like around 3hrs? Booked a room 4 miles away from venue, how is traffic into & out of the concert area? just trying to see what I'm in for.

    The venue is the same venue that hosts the Coachella and Stagecoach festivals. Power Trip will only be a single stage so I’m not sure how much the capacity will differ vs. those other fests which had more acts/stages. I used to attend Coachella annually until 2015 so it’s been a while since I’ve been. Traffic in/out can be bad, especially the closer it gets to late afternoon and then evening headliners. With only two acts per night, I can imagine traffic will be more concentrated. 
    My advice would be to look into any festival shuttles. When I attended Coachella, the festival had several shuttle lines that ran to and from hotels in the area throughout the day and had certain routes into/out of the venue that were only available to shuttles/buses. 
    This festival looks like it will be a similar set up to Desert Trip which took place there in 2016, so maybe someone who attended that can chime in.
    Enjoy! Great lineup and I may be tempted to find a ticket myself.

    If you can fly into the Palm Springs airport that would be about 40-60 minutes away from Indio. Join the Power Trip Festival group on FB. I learned a lot of useful info there. Went back and forth with buying the premier parking and the shuttles passes. Either way, it's expensive, but cheaper and quicker than any rideshare. I ended up going with the shuttle, since they have a pick up spot right next to my airbnb in La Quinta. The shuttles supposedly have dedicated lanes to drive in, which will make it quicker, in theory. Most people are saying shuttle.

    Also, thank you to all of you who regularly travel for PJ tours. A trick I learned from you is to book your hotel immediately when you find out the dates. I got a close place and half the price of what it became when renters found out about the fest.

    1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, California
    Nothing since then. I suck.

    Just a warning that the FB group can be annoying and will fill your feed. Lots of repeat questions, stupid memes, and people saying how they saw so and so back in... so they're not going and we're all stupid. I ended up snoozing it and just check in now and again to search for answers.

    I went to Desert Trip and Power Trip has the same set up.  I had seats in the grandstand pretty close to the stage which I thought were great.  I have no clue how anyone in GA could see the stage.  It was a massive sea of people. They did have two large screens to look at it.
