I wonder what the increase percentage was? I don't think it will be as high as Linda Ronstadt because that was more heavily used in the episode it was on. And judging by the uploaded YouTube video. It's only up 25k as of the time of this post from the moment it appeared on the show.
As great as that episode was, it did not have me seeking out the Rondstadt song to have in my library.

The Depeche Mode cover by Jessica Mazin however, did have me looking for the full version of Never Let Me Down Again.

I have to admit I was dismisive of this show before I'd even seen it, with it being based on a computer game.  Then I saw the first episode on the off-chance and I've been hooked since then.

That scene in the second ep (I think) with all them clicker-thingys all moving as one giant group. Wow.

its really bad when you think this. This is unfortunally what most people think. Its really a shame that people like yourself have the biggest preconception in the world when it comes to videogames.

so that you know there are videogames that have 1000% better stories than your movies and tv shows but no lets just be an asshole and complete badmouth it ,narrow it down.

open your sights and dont be so judgemental about videogames.

i may come across as rude and for that im sorry but attitudes like this one really pisses me off.

Hopefully good adaptations like the last of us makes people check out the game and more great story narrative games.

To be fair, how many movies based on video games have turned out to be great? There's a few good ones, but most seem pretty bad to me. So I think it's okay to be dismissive, I don't think it says anything about his general attitude towards video games. Just realizing the track history of games into movies.

Glad you are enjoying the show! Yeah, lots of video game movies are not the best. This game makes it easy because it has such a strong character driven storyline.

I think he did “open his sights” and that was the whole point of his post.  That he was admitting he had a preconceived opinion and admitted he was mistaken about it.

Rocked more than many other things - whether it's videogame adaptions or "martial arts films". Rather watch it than maaaaaaany other "dude endlessly kicking other dudes"-films. It is surprisingly well made too, effects and craft wise.  If you are talking about the original, 1995 (?) film.
